Ezekiel 7:8
'Now I will shortly pour out My wrath on you and spend My anger against you; judge you according to your ways and bring on you all your abominations'.
Very old photograph, taken from the steps of a Welsh asylum. It was quite common in older times, for families to throw away unwanted children. Especially if they thought their off spring were somehow 'different'. Here it seems a more tolerant family have decided to look after a 'discardent' until he can fend for himself.

To wish everyone a great WEEK I thought of sharing a simple 'untouched' photo of one of the spots that are HOME. A pristine place I've been enjoying since my early teens and where I spent ,& keep spending, short breaks away from Cagliari with family or friends. Truly a heavenly place [disregarding a few of the man-made abominations ;) around!]
I am now an adult.
Happy birthday to the main man, MucusDrizzle! Based on his best MOC and the SC2 Mutalisk.
This is an endemic rahi from an island in my universe. It's an invasive species because it's a natural predator of wathever is moving, like little rahis, and even Matorans. These rahis are astonishingly hard to kill, because they are fast and agile, and their spikes (the little yellow ones) with their arms' extremeties and the end of the tail contain a poison with paralyzing effects. This explains why inhabitants call them "Abominations".

A rare "Super Beaver" moon! I love the name. It is a "super" moon because the full moon is making one of its closest passes to Earth that its ever made. It is a "Beaver" moon, because the full moon in November is nicknamed the "Beaver" moon.
This photo is taken from the sand flats North-West of Paine's Creek Beach. Because of the astronomically low tide, we were able to easily cross the shallowest part of Paine's Creek as it drained and dissipated into the sand. It was about 2 inches (5 cm) deep where we crossed... very COLD, but almost no water. Also, since the tide had recently gone out and it WAS a bit cold, I had pristine sand-squiggles and puddles of the reflected pink sky, all without the abomination of footprints!

Perhaps the problem with some who strongly believe in an afterlife, is that they think their mission in THIS one is to control and dictate the lives of others and trying to pass (moral-based only) laws to dictate what other individuals can or can't do, what's right and wrong, who's saintly and who an abomination.
You know what I say to them? Time is ticking, and there's no 100% guarantee that when you die you'll wake up in ANY paradise. So if you waste the only life you have too concerned about who loves or marry whom, what women do with their bodies, and so on, you may find out when the time comes to the bitter end that you didn't live at all... The door is open. Will you go through it?

~ 6/7/16 GUYS NOTES ARE BACK ON FLICKR ~
These are all the 3rd or 4th redesigns of previous versions, and I apologize for this being my third picture to use the Afghanistan backdrop build. I tried to convert it to a Reach - look.
There is 1 modified piece in the Elite Ultra's head. It's a minifig hand with the wrist completely removed, but it's helped by the facts that 1) I had already sacrificed it for a completely different purpose, trying to create an angled hand, and 2) it's only a yellow Collectable Minifigure lower-grade plastic hand. I considered painting the dark red designs on the Elite, but I didn't want to blatantly ruin the near-purity of the design with paint.
Credit goes to Nick Brick from 5 years ago for the idea to use a droid arm as a Jackal head. How times have changed.
With the fourth grunt I've made, I finally came up with my own head design. The last version (link) used a modified head by Benny Brickster, may his photostream rest peacefully and famously in inactivity. Mine follows the same basic idea, but with smaller parts and a gas mask from MinifigCat.
It has been 4 years, 11 months, and 25 days since I uploaded my "Grunt V1" to Flickr, kicking off my Halo career with an astounding 8 favorites. 16 days later came my "Jackal V1," an abomination of U-clips and battle droid parts to join everybody else's on Flickr at that time. In January 2012 I posted my first Elite Ultra. Generally, people wait to say things like this until they do some milestone photo of followers or of years on this site, but I want to extend my warm thanks to you all to have brought me so far from those early uploads. I am quite happy that the majority of the FOLs I get to interact with are awesome to each other online and have been for a long time. It's been quite a ride with you guys, though many, many good amigos have dropped out over the years, but I won't leave anytime soon.
An appropriate throwback as we sadly bid farewell to the highhood GP50's. NS 7047 and a now likely stored B32-8 switch out a ethanol train at the north end of Doraville Yard in Doraville, GA in 2010. The 7047 was one of the last active 50's but is now a GP33ECO abomination.

Treasure in earthen vessels
(Joseph Philpot, "Daily Portions")
"But we have this treasure in earthen vessels."
2 Corinthians 4:7
Be not surprised if you feel that in yourself
you are but an earthen vessel; if you are made
deeply and daily sensible of your frail body.
Be not surprised . . .
if your clay house is often tottering;
if sickness sometimes assails your mortal tabernacle;
if in your flesh there dwells no good thing;
if your soul often cleaves to the dust; and
if you are unable to retain a sweet sense
of God's goodness and love.
Be not surprised nor startled . . .
at the corruptions of your depraved nature;
at the depth of sin in your carnal mind;
at the vile abominations which lurk and work
in your deceitful and desperately wicked heart.
Bear in mind that it is the will of God that this
heavenly treasure which makes you rich for
eternity, should be lodged in an earthen vessel.
We have ever to feel our native weakness, and
that without Christ we can do nothing; that we may
be clothed with humility, and feel ourselves the
chief of sinners, and less than the least of all saints.
We thus learn to prize the heights, breadths,
lengths, and depths of the love of Christ, who
stooped so low to raise us up so high!

"Isobel has told me about the woman that raised her before she left the Red Coven and found her real mother. This woman, Sister Iva, taught Isobel much of what she knows of the Ancient Tongue, basic magic, casting from tattooed glyphs, and surviving in the wilderness. "We arrived at my old home, the Red Coven, today. We came here seeking answers. How could we undo the calamities? Just what was the mysterious obelisk we found in Nellborough's ashes? Why are so many words missing from the codices of the Ancient Tongue? Instead, all we found was more ashes and rubble. I expected the Interior Guard had done this, but Sister Joane told me otherwise. It was Iva. A year ago, the entire coven was annihilated in a single night by Iva..." The journal of Isobel Valeria, P.B. 434, 5, 25

House of Frankenstein:
Foolish mortals beware, this is the House of Frankenstein, located on the street of fun, Clifton Hill. According to Mary Shelly, Doctor Frankenstein created a monster from the dead. Here in the House of Frankenstein there are many 'monsters' who lurk in the shadows, not living - and yet, not dead! See for yourself, the abominations that move and talk and who will make you scream! Be warned, this is not for the weak of heart! When you climb the thirteen haunted steps, you are on your own. Do not turn around for there is no turning back. Find the hidden passageway and finish this journey of terror ... or be lost in the clutching darkness forever!

Also, this was a chance to take a shot in Michigan, probably something that will never happen again either...
An outbound Camden Line MARC train for Washington was pushing through Carroll Interlocking on a beautiful summer morning in 2008.
MARC GP40WH-2 66 had been through here many times as it was built for the Baltimore and Ohio as GP40 4062 in 1971. It was rebuilt by MK with parts of a former Burlington Northern F45 to create the unholy abomination of steel that you see before you.
After MARC was finished with the 66, it headed nawth to Bahston, where it worked for the MBTA for a wicked bit and current whereabouts are unknown per a quick google search.

The world where Bassett town resides is considered a place too far gone. Unimaginable ‘evils’ have already corrupted its world to a point where the likelihood of it being saved is not possible. As the mists part to reveal this world, the only thing this world has to offer is the fear and struggle its people face, while the abominations and anomalies that had laid claim to this land wander out after learning that there’s more out there to explore.
Can you unravel the mystery of the town, before it vanishes into the mists once more?

=========================
In Rynek Podgórski, the main square of Podgórze, Cracow, you could find this "abomination", a deer with one head and two bodies. The "usual" monster in fairy tales has one body and several heads, but not otherwise...
The charge was hardly dodged.

Only one day remaining in my vintage wilderness series. Those of you who have been following this journey will recall a pano view of Mount Assiniboine Provincial Park, from 1979. For various reasons, it was nine years before I attempted that trek again - and here was the outcome. I guess I left it too late in the season. Hiking in the previous day, with snow beginning to swirl around me, I convinced myself to keep going, that it would pass. The following morning, at beautiful Rock Lake, I awoke to... this.
I built a fire to dry my boots and other gear and get warm. Then along came two guys with rifles. Have I seen any mountain goats? they wanted to know. Nope. Uh-uh. No goats, I lied. In reality, I had spotted one fifteen hundred feet up that cliff in the background; no way was I going to encourage them. I did let them warm their hands over my fire, and was happy to see them trudge back down the trail from whence they came. Up until then I didn't know that hunting is permitted in some BC provincial parks. Presumably trophy hunting, an abomination in every sense of the term, a pastime pursued by the pathetically limited, the greedy, the thoughtless, and the moral cripples among us. Of which there are many.
Undaunted, I decided to hang in for a couple more days, alone from that point on. I did have a fine morning - the next day - when brilliant sunshine bathed the scene and sparkling snow surrounded the pristine and partly iced-over blue lake. But then thick valley cloud rolled over the place and my spirits plummeted once again. The snow was two to three feet deep in places. Finally I had to admit that winter had arrived in the high country, and it would be prudent to get out of there safely while I still could. Back down in the valley bottom, at the trail head in Kootenay National Park, the sun was shining warmly.

History of the raisin bombers is a history of West Berlin!
From January 1948, the Soviet Union alternately limited the duration and type of passenger and goods traffic of the Western Allies and civilians to the western part of Berlin, in order to pass into a complete blockade from 24 June 1948.
The Western Allies had already supplied their troops stationed in West Berlin with airspace at the beginning of a temporary blockade from January 1948. The population was supplied with hamster trips to the part of Germany in the later GDR occupied by Soviet troops. After the complete blockade of West Berlin, this road was also blocked for the population.
Considerations as to whether the part of Berlin occupied by the Western powers with approx. 2.2 million Berliners, 9000 American, 7600 British and 6100 French Allied soldiers and their relatives could be supplied by air had already been considered as a possibility. It was not seriously believed that there would be an absolute blockade.
The reason for the absolute blockade of all routes to West Berlin was the introduction of the German currency, the DM, on 20 June 1948 in the Federal Republic, including West Berlin.
On June 24, 1948, the Soviet Union blocked all access routes to Berlin. The western part of the city was thus 100% cut off from any supply.
At the beginning of the blockade, the stockpiled supplies for West Berlin were only sufficient for a very limited period of time, whether and how a city with over 2.2 million inhabitants could survive a winter had to be clarified.
In January 1948, the head of the British Air Force in Berlin, Reginald Waite, had already had the small airlift checked whether an extension of "Operation Knicker" to the civilian population of West Berlin would be possible. The result showed the feasibility at least in the warm season.
In a conversation with the then Mayor Ernst Reuter, in which the later Lord Mayor of Berlin and Chancellor of the Federal Republic Willy Brandt also took part, Waite asked whether Reuther the population of West Berlin are willing to endure sacrifices for their freedom.
"The military governor of the USA General Lucius D. Clay's commitment enabled the city to be supplied by an airlift and on 26 June 1948 the first US Air Force aircraft flew from Frankfurt and Wiesbaden to Tempelhof Airport and launched Operation Vittels/Proviant.
"During the blockade of West Berlin, its mayor Ernst Reuter (SPD) became the symbol of Berlin's (West) perseverance. His speech of 9 September 1948 in front of the ruins of the Reichstag building "[...] Today is the day when the people of Berlin raise their voices. This people of Berlin today calls the whole world. [...] You peoples of the world, you peoples in America, in England, in France, in Italy! Look at this city and realize that you must not abandon, cannot abandon this city and this people".

In addition to the Western Allies, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and South Africa were also involved in the Airlift. Because of its war in Indochina, France could only participate with a few airplanes. France built a temporary airport on the site of today's Tegel Airport.
There were three entry aisles which were laid down in a treaty with the Soviet Union and the three Western powers at the surrender of Germany: Frankfurt, Hamburg and Hanover were supplied to West Berlin until 12 May 1949, officially the blockade ended on 30 September 1949.
In Tegel, Tempelhof and Gatow every three minutes an airplane landed which had to be unloaded as fast as possible so that the airplanes "parked" in the air could land and did not have to fly back to their departure airport.
Thanks to the great efforts of many people from different nations, who suffered a lot of suffering from an unfortunate war, West Berlin was able to survive and live in freedom and democracy until the reunification of both German States.
The history of the blockade is undeniably the history of the "raisin bomber"
The idea is attributed today to the pilot Gail Halvorsen. He began to tie chocolate tablets, which he received from his relatives in the USA, to handkerchiefs and drop them off before landing in Berlin. Soon after the media learned of the secret abominations, the action soon became widely circulated and the entire Air Force plane and many Americans collected sweets and chewing gum to support Operation Little Vittles. The name "raisin bomber" belongs to the history of West Berlin like the Airlift! The story of the raisin bomber belongs to the history of Berlin, a history of humanity and how enemies became friends. To understand my photo, it was necessary to tell the story of the blockade, dear friends.
Thank you for your visit, I wish you a peaceful and cheerful weekend!

The monsters were never
under my bed.
Because the monsters
were inside my head.
I fear no monsters,
for no monsters I see.
Because all this time
the monster has been me.

Alias: Recluse
Name: Unknown
Gender: Male
Allegiance: Villain
Backstory: The man who would become known as Recluse was pretty solitary in his life as a child. Other children saw him as an abomination, so he decided his time was better spent alone. It's hard to say when he fully fell to darkness, but he did. He would end up working for the Syndicate (one of many organizations in Sunrise City). He called himself Recluse as a nod to his childhood lifestyle, and to the recluse spider, of which his powers are based from. His powers include a creating a poison which can induce paralysis, leaping, awareness, and an organic webline. He can use his four extra limbs to crawl up walls.
Out of all cyber augmentation companies, Gomora Industries might have been the most notorious. Being on the forefront of cyborg researche, they required all their workers to be in some way cyber augmented and were often said to even experiment on them with new technology. the laboratories of the company were heavily guarded, often leaving visitors and business partners wondering, what in God’s name was waiting inside and hoping none of these abominations would ever escape. It was often suggested, that the company had ties to ultra progressive transhumanist groups and even terrorists, responsible for human trafficking and illegal cyber augmentation. While this could never be proven, the influx of new subjects for modification seemed suspiciously steady.

Here are my figures for the finale of the @figbarfcentral fig-off tournament. The topic was Cyberpunk. As the whole thematic complex of Transhumanism and Posthumanism is a focus of my studies and I am a big fan of Ghost in the Shell, I decided to focus on the cyborg aspect of the theme. I treated this figbarf as a study of how to create the weirdest Lego cyborgs, attaching as many non-minifigure parts to the figs as possible.
If you like these figures, please head over to @figbarfcentral on Instagram and vote for me in the tournament. Thank you all so much for you support!

Well, here we go again, steaming around planetary surfaces, the notorious steam tech loving Willie haunts the sterile and clean streets with his dirty abomination on wheels. But everyone is in a better mood afeter he pass by or behind the next corner.
The Tale:
Paying her entry fee, the mermaid swims swiftly through the zoo. There's a new exhibit she's eager to see. She heard the reports going viral on the dolphins' sonic waves.
Later...
Staring into the glass, she gives a disappointed sigh. The human won't come out. He's hiding in his den. Maybe he will come out at feeding time.

Herald’s Journal: Entry 250
Growing up I was told I was a mistake… that I was unnatural, an abomination. I guess they were right, hell my own family didn’t want me. They sent to the Chantry as soon as I opened my mismatched eyes. An abomination… a stain on their perfect lineage. I was erased from their blood line in mere hours, so I guess that means I do not technically exist. I lived in the Ostwick Circle my whole life, I have no family, no last name, no friends, I have nothing. Always a mistake, always unnatural now I am marked in another manner to always stand out and never blend in, never belong. Most days I wonder why I was chosen as I see the looks they give me when they think I am not looking. Their constant vigilance to see when not if I crack, when I will show them a true abomination that can be destroyed. They call me the Herald, and it cuts deeper then any slur… I am a mistake of the maker and they know it. There are good people in this world which is why I will stand and try to protect those I can, I will give them a chance that I was never given. I am not want they need or deserve but I am what they got. I will do all I can for them and this world or die trying. In the end I will not be missed as how can you miss someone who never truly existed?
24X cruises across the Pacolet river at Converse, SC with the freshly shopped Virginian heritage leading the way. It's a refreshing break to see fully painted heritage motors roaming the rails, compared to the abomination that is CSX's attempt.
CSX SD50-2 #8632 is seen paired up with SD24T4 #1725 on one of Selkirk’s remote controlled pull down jobs. What an abomination that SD24 thing is. And as much as I wish the SD50’s were still running mainline freight out here, it’s good to see this one repurposed instead of scrapped. The #8632 also happens to be the last active SD50 on CSX's roster.
