Citizens gathered to rally and march against anti-Asian racism and in solidarity with the AAPI community. The event was organized by Beverly community member, Amber Jogie, and included speakers and a two-mile march from Beverly Commons.

A historic AAPI Presidential Election Forum was held on August 12, 2016, organized by APIAVote and the Asian American Journalists Association at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. An estimated 2,500 attended the event featuring President Bill Clinton for Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, Green Party nominee Jill Stein, Libertarian Party nominee Gov.
