And here I am putting on makeup, which I do every morning directly after shaving. I bet you don't know too many men who do both those things every morning!
I actually considered getting a shot of each of the things I do when I get ready, but I figured that would get tedious and even more boring than this already is. Still, I feel compelled to share with you my morning routine:
-- alarm goes off; I get out of bed and feed the cat
-- pee
-- pour myself a bowl of cereal
-- check email and read LiveJournal friends list/blogs while I eat breakfast
-- (if necessary) shit
-- shower*
-- towel dry
-- wipe hairs off the bathtub (with toilet paper) **
-- wipe hairs and other crud off the toilet (with toilet paper)
-- put on shirt
-- put on deodorant
-- put on the rest of clothes, including shoes and socks
-- brush teeth ***
-- floss
-- mouthwash
-- shave
-- put on makeup
-- put in leave-in hair product
The whole process, from the alarm clock to finishing with the hair product, usually takes me an average of about an hour and a half. It's closer to 45-50 minues if you start from when I get in the shower.
* In the shower, I wash my hair, rinse my hair, and then soap my neck, eyelids, backs of my ears, belly, and any other body part that might otherwise emit odor while I leave conditioner in my hair, which gets rinsed out last. Lately, though, I've been washing my hair only every other day. Today was a wash day.
** Every day for several months now, I wipe out the bathtub and think to myself, Damn, this needs to be scrubbed -- and then I promptly forget all about it until I find myself wiping it out the next day,
*** Sometimes I mix it up and do my teeth before the shower. I'm so unpredictable!
