Peppercorn A2 60538 Velocity stands outside Newcastle Central station in the 1950’s awaiting its next duty. Built in 1948, it was allocated to Gateshead, Heaton, and Tweedmouth sheds before being withdrawn off the latter in November 1962.

Steam locomotive A2 986 is turned at Seymour. The A2 was operating a special charter for the Association of Railway Enthusiasts (ARE). This was the final special train for the ARE with the organization winding up in June 2023.

Die Bundesautobahn 2 (BAB 2 / A2) verläuft von Oberhausen entlang des Nordrandes des Ruhrgebiets durch das südliche Münsterland, Ostwestfalen-Lippe und das Weserbergland. Sie erreicht die niedersächsische Landeshauptstadt Hannover, die sachsen-anhaltische Landeshauptstadt Magdeburg und nach Querung der Elbe vor Berlin den südlichen bzw. westlichen Berliner Ring (A 10) am Dreieck Werder.
Das foto zeigt die Autobahn auf Höhe des Passes über das Wesergebirge zwischen Porta Westfalica und Rinteln.
Als je denkt dat elektrische auto’s pas van de laatste tijd zijn, dat heb je behoorlijk mis. Deze Breguet A2 werd al gemaakt in 1942.
De Breguet A2 was uitgerust met 6 accu's die samen een spanning van 72 V leverden. De actieradius per oplaadbeurt zou ongeveer 65 km bedragen bij een gemiddelde snelheid van 40 km/u.
Dit exemplaar is één van de laatst overgeblevenen van de minder dan 200 gebouwde auto’s en daarmee uiterst zeldzaam.
If you think electric cars are a recent phenomenon, you're quite wrong. This Breguet A2 was already made in 1942.
De Breguet A2 was fitted with 6 batteries that together provided a voltage of 72 V. Range per charge was claimed to be about 65 km at an average speed of 40 km/h.
This example is one of the last remaining of the fewer than 200 cars built and is therefore extremely rare.
This might be my favourite from this shoot.. what do you think? a bit too bright?
