As this photo shows the Zombie Virus is real despite denials from the Centers for Disease Control and NIH. Beware YOU could be the next victim!!!! OR, perhaps it's peppercorns with a bit of Fractalius fun. We may never know... For Macro Mondays Group -- topic, Halloween
Is this where the Zombies are gathering for the apocalypse? Have I found their secret lair? Is this a warning? It won't stop me.
The Manunka Chunk Tunnels in western NJ were part of the Lackawanna Railroad's original route through NJ. The main line was used for about 50 years until the "Old Road" was bypassed in 1911 when the Lackawanna opened it's famous "Lackawanna Cutoff" through western NJ eliminating the grades, tight curves, and two problematic tunnels (of which this was one) on the original route.
These tunnels were opened around 1860, the left one first, and it quickly became evident these tunnels were going to become issues for the railroad. Between collapses, flooding, space restrictions with more modern equipment, and speed limitations, the tunnels became a real bottleneck for the railroad.
Track in the right tunnel was removed in the 1940s, and the left tunnel still saw occasional use right up until the Erie-Lackawanna merger in the early 1960s.
Today, the tunnels are a flooded relic of their former days with multiple collapses inside them. Tracks can still be found inside the left tunnel as they are permanently sealed in place by several ceiling collapses.
Let's take a look inside and see if we can find any Zombies.
This is my first ever zombie scene and I feel that it worked out really well but I don't think I will be doing another one. I hope you enjoy this scene.
The stroy about this scene is that in the apocalypse the military has been comprimised leaving only the resistance, the only remaining mercenary team has fallen back to their last stand where they have lost half of there workforce and the battle is almost won, but the casualties have been severe and there supplies are running thing ad they can't last much longer.
Thanks to my baka-zombie idol troupe, I shall save Saga!!!
From left to right, meet Lily-chan, Tatsumi "necroducer" Koutarou and Legendary Yamada Tae!
All of them are characters from Zombie Land Saga, my favourite anime of 2018, and the true dark horse of this season.
The ending was pretty open, yet satisfying enough. Sakura is much more luckier than she thinks!
Let's hope it translates in a new season for 2019!
As you most surely known, they are build in MikeVd's super-cute chibi Style. Credits to him! :-)
Stranger #13
I stumbled upon this "hipster movie blogging zombie" named Corey while I was waiting to meet up with Cara Rose this evening. Tonight was the annual Zombie Walk here in Lawrence which was a surprise but I was happy to catch another stranger.
Corey lives in Lawrence and she spent 5 hours working on her make-up! She's into horror movies and enjoys blogging about them. I'm not into the zombie/horror thing but doesn't she make a striking stranger? Check out Corey's blog if you're curious!
This picture is #13 in my 100 strangers project. Find out more about the project and see pictures taken by other photographers at the 100 Strangers Flickr Group page

Police continue to question arrested Blacktron Zombies to no result. The Zombies' attorney, Saul Goodman, explains that his clients suffer from multi-dimensional reality disorder (or MDRD) and thus are unaccountable for their human flesh eating activities.
Brisbane held its annual Zombie March, and they came out of the wood work. I did a quick drive/walk at the conclusion of the parade and snapped a couple of the happy undead
This chap was at Comicon at the Birmingham nec , he decided to put fake blood in his mouth to enhance the effect.

As some of you know, The Walking Dead is filmed in my area. Lots of zombie signs and such right now in the area. Didn't see any zombies, however.
Here's my ZAT...
Leader: Oscar Goldman. Let's be real, he will undoubtedly betray the team because he works for the government.
Brawler: The Yeti. What a real beast, and loves rippin' heads off of Zombies, but sometimes can get distracted by little reindeer with shiny noses.
Weapons Expert: BB8. Although this little astromech droid is better suited for spaceship maintenance, he's learned a few things about weapons, and this one has a candy cannon! WTF!?
Brains: Mork from Ork. Will probably be the last to die, 'cause the jury is still out on whether his alien DNA will accept a zombie virus thingy. Nano! Nano!
Medic: Or "Mod Medic" as she prefers to be called. It's questionable if she can heal people because all of her medical equipment is from the 1970's.
Speed Fighter: 1940's Flash. Who else right? Problem is the team has a difficult time contacting him because according to Jay, cell phones are like outer spaaaace maaaan!
Mascot: Drawing Figure. The ultimate zombie distraction. Also kind of a pain in the butt because someone has to carry him everywhere!
Guy(gal) who dies last? Enter Darci the Cover Girl!
She's able to hypnotize folks in their tracks with her beautiful magazine cover poses, but forgets there's a zombie apocalypse even happening!
