Finished adapting my little 5x7 reduction linocut into a huge ~30" tall serigraph. Not perfect, but good enough - might touch up some of the weak spots in the linework on the left with india ink or just leave it as is - not sure. Pretty small edition - still need to cut the sheets down and edition.

In the collection at Stourhead, it would be easy not to notice this TWO THOUSAND YEARS OLD statuette of Zeus with his thunderbolt.
The Stourton family had lived at the Stourhead estate for 500 years until they sold it to Sir Thomas Meres in 1714. His son, John Meres, sold it in 1717 to Henry Hoare, son of wealthy banker Sir Richard Hoare. The original manor house was demolished and a new house, one of the first of its kind, was designed by Colen Campbell and built by Nathaniel Ireson between 1721 and 1725.
Over the next 200 years, the Hoare family collected many heirlooms, including a large library and art collection. In 1902, the house was gutted by fire but many of the heirlooms were saved, and the house was rebuilt in a nearly identical style.
The last Hoare family member to own the property, Sir Henry Hugh Arthur Hoare, gave the house and gardens to the National Trust in 1946, one year before his death. His son and sole heir, Captain Henry Colt Arthur "Harry" Hoare, of the Queen's Own Dorset Yeomanry, had died of wounds received at the Battle of Mughar Ridge on 13 November 1917 during World War I. The last Hoare family member to be born at the house was Edward Hoare on 11 October 1949.

Nekyia painter
Above, obverse and reverse, Herakles, Theseus, and Perithoos in Hades
Below, obverse, Apollo and Tityos; reverse, Zeus and giant
This important vase illustrates one of the stories that would have been sung or recited. To atone for having killed his wife and children in a fit of madness, Herakles entered the service of King Eurystheus of Tiryns, who imposed twelve tasks on him. The most difficult was to fetch Kerberos, the watchdog of the underworld. In the upper zone, Herakles with his guide, Hermes, stands beside Theseus and Perithoos, who were punished for attempting to carry off Persephone. Hades, the king of the underworld, is shown behind Perithoos. Around the circumference of the vase appear other heroes known chiefly from the Iliad and the Odyssey, each with his name inscribed. The two scenes in the lower zone depict further mythological punishments.

With a thunderstorm looming over a vineyard, the name of this picture alludes to the ancient Greeks’ god of thunder. It is a Horváth-family vineyard in Szölöskislak, Somogy County, Hungary. The picture was taken 23 July 2015.

I think the garden hose adds to this scene of Zeus the Firecat.
The weird color of his hat is due to its reflective properties bouncing the light from my camera flash off of the hat.

Apollo and Zeus are brothers their mother was a Swiss shepherd and their father was a Belgian shepherd hence the totally difirent colours. I just wish Apollo would pick up his ears already :-)
I have a purist design for Maxie, but after I saw these decal designs in Justin/Saber-Scorpion's website I just could not resist buying them and use them for the would-be Olympian god.
I'll post a picture of my purist Maxie Zeus one of these days. So stay tuned.
C&C welcomed and appreciated.
