It was great to see my old friend Denis and meet his partner Zelda this weekend! The pair is currently on a long cross-country road trip that brought them near Taos. Denis and I served as Peace Corps Volunteers in Vanuatu from 2012-2014. It’s always fun to reconnect with people who shared an experience that was such an important time in my life. I can’t wait until our paths cross again!
Zelda - Breath of the Wild
After stumbling over the concept art of Impa's House from the game, it inspired me to build this Lego rendition.
It took me a month and ended up with a 10000 pieces creation with the dimensions: 67x45x45cm
The house has a full interior and is built as close to the model in the game as possible.
While building I made a lot of work-in-progress pictures that I shared on my Instagram page.
The model will be displayed at the ComicCon Germany in Stuttgart.

Zelda, one and a half years old. We took her from a shelter; she's phobic, so her life would have been ended quickly... we took her home and spent a year trying to help her as best as we could, now she's doing a little better day after day.

So.....I finally finished my Link custom! This custom has been on the works since I've gotten Procreate (2 months ago) and I have to say I'm REALLY proud of how it came out. He was painted with Apple Barrel, Premiere, and misc. paints and sculpted with Greenstuff and Procreate. I had to re-do the whole figure once, and the hair and eyes multiple times. I did a tiny bit of shading and I think it turned out pretty well. Parts of both the shield and sword were made with a cut up Amazon card and then had Lego pieces added along with Procreate. I also made a bow for Link, but it isn't pictured. I know there are some paint mistakes on their, and I also know the hair might not look good, but I don't care anymore as I'm "finished" with this figure! Comments and faves very appreciated. Would love to hear some feedback on this. Good day!

Another overdue figure to show, this time it's Zelda! Sorry about not posting sooner, I've been taking it easy these past few days...
The bottom line? I was being a lazy bum :P
Anyways... I think Zelda turned out pretty well. Some places are out of proportion molding wise (I'm fixing this), but I think she looks pretty good. I'll be sure to update when I'm done.
Last thing, Agitha is done. I'm not touching the other 4 yet though. Maybe Ruto, but probably not.

A Legend of Zelda Vignette
What better way to relax than by gazing into the glowing embers of a crackling blaze amidst the ruins of a lost civilisation.
This comprises my entry to the 2025 iteration of the Summer Joust, for the 12x12 category.
I've wanted to do something with the sky-islands from The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom from almost the first moments of gameplay, and with the release of an official Link minifigure last year came my excuse to start piecing things together. Several abandoned immersive scenes later comes a boulder-strewn vignette that I'm rather proud of. The lichen encrusted ground and sporadic birch coverage makes for one of the prettiest areas in the game, and the absence of any challenging enemies (unless you go looking for them) adds to its tranquil nature.
Also very pleased with the integration of the Nexo Knights Armour panels, a happy consequence of buying a few too many angled yellow slopes for a New Hashima cube and the sequel to the CAT Sloth...
