EN: In Dubai, E 11 is known as "Sheikh Zayed Road" (in Arabic: شارع الشيخ زايد). The highway runs parallel to the coastline from Trade Centre Roundabout to the border with the emirate of Abu Dhabi, 55 kilometres (34 mi) away in the area of Jebel Ali.
The road was formerly known as Defence Road. Between 1993 and 1998, 30 kilometres (19 mi) of the road was expanded. Along with this improvement came a change in the name. Sheikh Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Ruler of Dubai at the time, named the road after the then president of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
The Sheikh Zayed Road is home to most of Dubai's skyscrapers, including the Emirates Towers and the Burj Khalifa. The highway also connects other new developments such as the Palm Jumeirah, Dubai Marina and Dubai Waterfront. The road will soon have most of the Red Line of Dubai Metro running alongside it.

Take me as you are
Push me off the road
the sadness,
I need this time to be with you
I'm freezing in the sun
I'm burning in the rain
The silence
I'm screaming,

We booked our favorite model Jezter to have a photo shoot at this Vintage Telephone Booth at Sheikh Zayed Road. Also, we invited Kuya Charles & his wife Ate Cherry. When we got in the location, we were like observing for a few minutes, thinking if Police will catch us in case, or if people will stop and stare or they won’t care at all. Lucky enough that people don’t care of what we are doing even though the flash is firing consistently no one even asked us unlike our past experiences in street photography. The challenge was, we are all sweating (35 degree temperature) specially Jez that he is inside the booth with no air yet he is not complaining. When I showed him the pictures on my cam, he smiled and asked, what’s next? \m/

Sheikh Zayed Road, the main business street in UAE. Annoyingly there does not seem to be any easy way to cross the street from one side to the other, especially as a pedestrian.

Sheikh Zayed Bridge is an arch bridge in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Named after the country's principal architect and former president Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the 842 meter long bridge is said to be the most intricate bridge ever constructed. Its curved design arches evoke undulating sand dunes of the desert.
The bridge features - besides its striking architecture - a dynamic lighting design that is based on subtle colours that flow across the bridge's spine, symbolising the connecting nature of the bridge and the energy that the capital city Abu Dhabi radiates.
The bridge is the third traffic route connecting the mainland to the island of Abu Dhabi and the new main gateway over the Maqtah channel. The bridge was designed by architect Zaha Hadid as the grandeur landmark for the UAE's capital city.
