The real kick off to the Holiday Season in Vancouver was December 1, 2023. In true Vancouver fashion the Holiday Season kicked off in the pouring rain.

I started my wanderings this night on the Vancouver Art Gallery North Plaza for the Official turning on of the Yule Tree. Great fun, and a huge crowd despite the heavy rain.

The music for the Vancouver Christmas Tree Lighting was provided by the "Tim Sars Band", featuring Tim Sars and a great backing band:

This year I put up a little tree with only soft unbreakable ornaments, so that the baby could enjoy them and I didn't have to worry about anything breaking.
