The garden of love is green without limit and yields many fruits other than sorrow or joy. Love is beyond either condition: without spring, without autumn, it is always fresh.

A lumbering freight train was an unexpected but welcome addition to this planned image; the only decision was: where do I stand? On the tracks?

We eyed each other on its approach and the conductor gave a warning blast of his horn...I wisely chose to stand down.

A flowering head of blackgrass (Alopecurus myosuroides), very difficult to control in farmers fields and if left unchecked can cause large reductions in yield

A pair of Egyptian Geese (Alopochen aegyptiaca) seem to be contemplating of change of course as they stop for a dust covered elephant approaching in the river. Late afternoon lighting, Kruger National Park, South Africa.

This is a picture of our street taken from a kayak, this is the aftermath of hurricane Mathew. The waters have not receded and we only just got power back.

Here are the three most common cockpit box designs or techniques I use. As can be seen, they yield quite a variety of shapes.

Well, some do.

This is by no means exhaustive, as some designs (like the Vic Vipers) use more brackets, or a combination of Cockpit 2 and brackets.

Yes, it's blue...Velvia 50 + cool light at either end of the day = hyper-saturated blue. A known benefit/limitation (however you see it). But it captures how it looked and felt, so it stays out of PS for now. Also, there's that electric, mysterious glow in twilight that's fun to try and catch...

Took this on the way to work the other day. I was struck by the contrasts in this shot - the blue and subtle purple in the snow and sky against the building reflections of the bright orange reflections of the Eastern clouds being hit with the 7am sun. Then on another level, the contrast of the moon beginning its decent - almost yielding to its counterpart.

I and my wife love to collect mushrooms in the autumn and we usually dry them and part of those dried mushrooms we grind to pulver to be used as a nice seasoning for sauces.

First of all, if you haven't seen MattyD90's shots of this place, please do. He always wanted to do some night photography here after the airport underwent major reconstruction and remodeling and I am glad he invited me down for the project. Thanks, Matt! We made a few excursions, the first one with flopper (You can click on his icon to the right) and really got to know this place. It's a little funny to consider that, even though I wouldn't likely get on a big jet anymore, I absolutely love airports and watching jets.

I also want to say how purely and utterly pleased we were that the law enforcement at SJC made absolutely no effort to hassle, harass, or hinder us at any time. I don't mind being monitored, that much is understood, but not having the security and police overreacting to 2 nerds (sorry Matt!) with cameras was a sincere pleasure, as compared to my experiences at San Francisco International Airport. Good show San Jose!

As always, thanks for having a look and telling me what you think!

Good advice.

Today’s yield: burpless cucumbers (so I’m told; this is my first time growing them), peppers, and tiny sungold tomatoes. The latter plants are struggling so, I’m surprised they produced any tomatoes at all.

After the park removed the Glines Canyon Dam upstream from here, the Elwha River celebrated by reclaiming its full bed. That entailed washing out a campground and this road.
