Two YoLo-2s practicing maneuvers over the coasts around Mdogo's regional capital of Mdogola, 1942.

The wildly unreliable jet-propulsion systems used on the LoLs-260 and its CAS conversion, the 260-U, were found undesirable for general-purpose use and only given to elite pilots. However, this left a large gap in the rest of Wahaya's military - most fighters were incapable of carrying sufficient munitions for effective ground support.

Thus an opportunity was opened for an international competition between various companies, and the victor came from an unlikely place - Tongoria.

The White Tongorians of Priamurye need any source of income they can get, and the sale of designs for the Yogvich-2 to the world's richest empire, Makhutukufu, was no problem to them. The design was modified by Logambe, Wahaya's premier aircraft manufacturer, to suit the dry coastal environment of Bistralis. Highly survivable and made for mass-production, the YoLo-2 is sure to support any Wahayan ground operations against the many dæmons and infidels on Bistralis.

I think this Raven was trying to clean his beak. It's either that or he mistook me for the Emperor...Yolo Bypass Wildlife Area

Over the winter my friends Andy and Amanda bought a beautiful cabin in Lake Tahoe, right on the lake. The cabin came with a boat dock and last week Andy messaged me to let me know they bought a boat and I should come up for the weekend! So weekend in Tahoe it was!

Andy and I drove up Thursday night and spent Friday "Working from Tahoe" (WFT). We decided we'd see if we could go the whole weekend without using the car - instead we'd boat every where. We used the boat to get groceries. We bought a wakeboard and a tube. We used the boat to get some other supplies, flip-flops, and stop for a delicious lunch.

It just so happened that the Perseid Meteor Shower was going to come close to peak while I was there. On Saturday I grabbed my camera and walked down to the dock and setup the tripod for hours. The camera caught 13 meteors streaking through the sky. I then combined them all into 1 photo, after adjusting for the rotation of the stars!

1. Yolo

Abbreviation for: you only live once

The dumbass's excuse for something stupid that they did

Also one of the most annoying abbreviations ever....

Guy 1: "Hey i heard u got that girl pregnant"

Dumbass 1: " Ya man but hey YOLO"

Guy 1: "Hey i heard that you broke ur leg falling off the balcony at that party"

Dumbass 1: "Ya but hey YOLO"

Two guys wearing YOLO leggings on the street.Or maybe in the mall. Fun! From twitter.

Incredible cloud show at Yolo Bypass this evening. Fast changing cycles of rain and sun. At mountains we have so much snow that skiers cannot reach the slopes since the roads are closed. Sunday is expected to be without precipitations. Beautiful and promising March.

Yolo Fliers Club was founded by O.W.H. Pratt, who wanted the Fliers Club to be a country club for golfers, swimmers, and fliers. Membership fees during those first days were $100 with yearly dues of $30.

Pratt fell in love with flying in the summer of 1919 when Air Force Lt. Charles Stoffer landed in Woodland as part of a “barnstorming” trip across the country. Pratt took a flight with Stoffer and got hooked.

He “talked, dreamed and thrived on flying, aviation, and aeroplanes,” according to the club’s history, so Pratt founded a local flying club and the golf course.

That’s why the Woodland Airport is so close by. Pratt wanted to offer flying lessons as well as be available for fliers stopping off in the community

By October 1919, the Yolo Fliers Club had its first 100 members. By January 1920, W.H. Weeks, a prominent Northern California architect, who designed many of Woodland’s private homes and businesses, was hired to build the first clubhouse and entry gate. The gate was finished in 1921 and honors all Yolo County men who died in World War I.

By the 1920s there were “Aero Exhibitions” and races and one account tells of more than 4,000 people in attendance at one event.
