I got a new pot of kitty grass to prevent me from chewing up this plant. I don't care if the Humans blow air on me or spray me because this is supposed to be poisonous. They drink alcohol and eat chocolate. That is poisonous too. I don't care much for the alcohol by the way, Big Human's beers smell weird, but the chocolate spread and avocados and raisins I love so much are all stuff the Human poisons herself with and she denies me all the fun. #YOLO

Yolo County Sunflowers this year

While on the Auto Tour at Yolo Bypass we happened on an Osprey sitting in the water. We were surprised to see the Osprey this far inland as they are coastal birds. The osprey, also called fish eagle, sea hawk, river hawk, and fish hawk is a diurnal, fish-eating bird of prey with a cosmopolitan range. It is a medium raptor, reaching more than 60 cm (24 in) in length and 180 cm (71 in) across the wings. It is brown on the upperparts and predominantly greyish on the head and underparts. Unique among North American raptors for its diet of live fish and ability to dive into water to catch them.

The Northern Harrier Hawk evolved to fill a unique ecological niche - it seems other raptors were not frustrating enough to attempt to photograph, so this one evolved to push me right over the edge. I think I'm going to be extinct soon from these birds!

Juvenile Bald Eagle in the Yolo Bypass Wildlife Area, the second I've seen there this year. I'm hoping it becomes a regular thing as the population expands.

They are both sick and yet the YOLO is strong with them.

Incredible cloud show at Yolo Bypass this evening. Fast changing cycles of rain and sun. At mountains we have so much snow that skiers cannot reach the slopes since the roads are closed. Sunday is expected to be without precipitations. Beautiful and promising March.
