This was yet another house left abandoned. I was able to enter this one from the front door. As I approached the porch I could see some belongings of the prior owner. Toys laid faded yet intact with remnants of clothing scattered about. The inside painted a scene of one final Christmas. The family Christmas tree dried up and fallen over inches from where it once stood. On a rather distressed coffee table stood a red vase with artificial flowers as though never disturbed. A torn couch was moved into the dining room as if the new arrangements were better form those currently taking up shelter. I was not able to venture further, as my co-worker/driver felt uneasy. The pondering questions still remain, where did they go, why did they go. How many more shattered lives will be claimed....

I've seen a few seven spot Ladybirds still active on the Spear Thistles even now we are into the 2nd week in November HBBBT!

When you come for a sunrise and the moon is like this, you shoot that way

A photo taken after our first snow at Thomas Mitchell Park in Polk County, Iowa. It hasn't been cold enough yet for the ground to freeze or for much ice to form on ponds and lakes.

Developed with Darktable 3.6.0. Two photos combined together with the Hugin Panoramic Editor.

Thomas Mitchell was one of Polk County’s earliest Anglo-American settler. He was an innkeeper, a farmer, legislator, sheriff, and an operator of a stop on the Underground Railroad.

It's just nice.

Terrific Thursday to you.

Canadian National train 101 exits Tunnel 54.8 and crosses the Thompson river in stark and scenic Black Canyon just west of Ashcroft, British Columbia, on September 24, 2015.

Yet another autumn snowfall photo from Yellowstone.

England’s capital is renowned for cold weather, warm beer and iconic tourist hotspots including some of the world’s most famous bridges.

But a lesser known bridge in Hampstead Heath, suitably know as ‘Sham Bridge’, has been making headlines for the last 200 years.

Most bridges are designed to at least bear the weight of vehicles or pedestrians crossing over them. However, this bridge located in North West London fails to meet these conventional requirements.

Found above the Thousand Pound Pond in Hampstead Heath, this bridge initially appears to be a typical structure. Yet, upon closer inspection from a different perspective, its true nature is revealed.

Given its nickname, the ‘Sham Bridge,’ this ornamental structure near Kenwood House is merely a two-dimensional feature, lacking the practicality for actual crossing.

Its origins can be traced back to the mid-18th century when it was part of the grounds owned by the first Earl of Mansfield.

Yet another place nobody has heard of, Tolosa is a quaint city in the Spanish Basque country 45 minutes inland from San Sebastian, the riverfront is lovely and there are lush green mountains rising all around, I've never seen a night photo from here, and I didn't see any hotels, though there must be both in existence, the area is quite densely populated and the town is larger than it looks in the photo. Worth a return visit perhaps years ahead.

Origanum vulgare with Melitaea athalia (Wachtelweizenscheckenfalter auf Wilden Majoram, heath fritillary on wild marjoram) Zölzboden, Eisenerzer Alpen, Steiermark, Austria.

Yet another Evo, must of spotted 20 in the last few months!

..for a tiny male Anna's Hummingbird.

"Anna’s Hummingbirds are among the most common hummingbirds along the Pacific Coast, yet they're anything but common in appearance. With their iridescent emerald feathers and sparkling rose-pink throats, they are more like flying jewelry than birds. Though no larger than a ping-pong ball and no heavier than a nickel, Anna’s Hummingbirds make a strong impression. In their thrilling courtship displays, males climb up to 130 feet into the air and then swoop to the ground with a curious burst of noise that they produce through their tail feathers."

... yet another mistake with my Holga, forgot pose B on and badly overexposed. Well, I quite like it.

Yet another famous departmental store in Nihonbashi, Tokyo.

It's not a very intentional shot, just fooling around with my new zoom lens :D

But this location is nice, yet another extension of the land into the sea and it's still under construction so not full of tourists.

Fav if you noticed the child in the back seat!

Thanks for your visit , comments and support, dear friends

I don't know what to say about this girl. She is so stunning, breathtaking, amazing... All those words jump to mind, yet they seem inadequate. I'm just smitten.

... you know those damn 'last minute submissions'?

I was VERY excited to find two Northern Red Salamanders! Neither were red yet but hopefully I will find them again in the future after they grow up.

As autumn wanes rapidly, it isn't quite done yet, nor am I. And have a fence for you as well.

Another one from this series - for as long as I don't edit the new set of pictures. Lately I'm lacking the energy to process the new things. Still at work and under pressure. But I like these pictures anyway...

Jeffrey Pine, often called Butterscotch Pine due to the beautiful color of the tree's bark.

yet I haven't decided, any ideas?

I am seeking, I am striving, I am in it with all my heart.
