13 years ago today in Coyote Buttes North, better known as "The Wave".

Some of the colorful rocks behind the wave or below the TopRock are particularly photogenic when they are reflected in the water, as here.

Every few years I take a photo in the same place wearing the same clothes and I make time stand still if only for a moment.

Old faithful, how I'm missing getting down there.

Just in case you had forgotten what she looked like :)

The song says it all

"I think I'm going back

to the thing I learned so well in my youth.

I think I'm returning to

all those days when I was young enough to know the truth.

Now there are no games to only pass the time.

No more electric trains, no more trees to climb.

Thinking young and growing older is no sin

and I can play the game of life to win.

I can recall the time when

I wasn't ashamed to reach out to a friend.

And now I think I've got a lot more than

just my toys to lend.

Now there's more to do than watch my sailboat glide

and everyday can be my magic paradise.

I can play hide and seek with my fears

and live my days instead of counting my years.

Let everyone debate the true reality

I'd rather see my world the way it used to be.

A little bit of courage is all we lack,

so catch me if you can 'cause I'm going back.

I'm going back,

not just sitting, walking away.

Yes, I'm going back.

Going back to my youth.

Come on, catch me 'cause I'm going back,

I'm going back..."

***I am sorry to have misled so many of you unintentionally. This capture is not of me and my husband, but of friends of mine.

Thank you for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day! ❤️❤️❤️

This is my favourite one, I did a few years ago, when I first bought the Brass Kaleidoscope, the one that you use to look through and make your own patterns and creations.

And my creation I did here, consists of a Dandelion and an Easter Egg Box, with a picture of a football on it. Then combining these two together, created what you see above!

The possibilities are truly endless, in what you can create through a Kaleidoscope in the way you position it and line it up to your Lens. In which I found my Micro NIKKOR 40mm f2.8G Lens, did the job perfectly!

So keep cool and stay safe, my flickr friends !!!

and he keeps on coming back

Found in Southern Tyrol

A little bit of summer sun to combat January chills.

Five years ago, this tiny furry creature arrive to our place, and made it brighter.

We called her Momo, after the character from the Michael Ende's book. Immediately, she made a special bond with our younger kid. And she has grown-up, and we are all happy.

"It starts in the morning

When you're lying next to me

I'm rolling, I'm rolling

I'm rolling so quickly

Now I'm not a doctor

And I'm not a lawyer

I get a prescription and set it on fire

Blow me a kiss

I'll be happy for the rest of my life

And I'm so happy 'cause you're so happy

I'm so happy 'cause you're so happy..."

BE PATIENT---

IT MAY TAKE YEARS FOR GOD TO

TURN MORTALS INTO ANGELS

A Thousand Years - Sting

A thousand years, a thousand more

A thousand times a million doors to eternity

I may have lived a thousand lives, a thousand times

An endless turning stairway climbs

To a tower of souls

If it takes another thousand years, a thousand wars

The towers rise to numberless floors in space

I could shed another million tears, a million breaths

A million names but only one truth to face

A million roads, a million fears

A million suns, ten million years of uncertainty

I could speak a million lies, a million songs

A million rights, a million wrongs in this balance of time

But if there was a single truth, a single light

A single thought, a singular touch of grace

Then following this single point, this single flame

This single haunted memory of your face

I still love you

I still want you

A thousand times the mysteries unfold themselves

Like galaxies in my head

And on and on the mysteries unwind themselves

Eternities still unsaid

'Til you love me

Time flies by, it's already late spring and I'm still posting the autumn photos. I'm not even mad. I've discolored this one a little bit, it seem like a hundred years from then. Time flies by, not very fast, when you can't do anything and you're just hybernating to get through the time to another realm...

Floki is six years old already! I first held him when he was six months old and I’ve been so lucky to have this sweet little soul in my life.

... this was my first picture of African wildlife on a trip through Namibia (and many more should follow :-).

Today I want to celebrate the 15th million view of my photostream here on Flickr with you all, my friends, contacts and visitors.

Thank you for your wonderful support and the time you've spent for viewing, commenting and faving my photographs !

An album with my most viewed pictures you can see here.

After well over 60 years of taking photo's I can honestly say you never get bored with it... even after another dark, grey day we got the a glimpse of a sunset tonight. Notice f/0 and 0.0mm - that's because I used a manual only Extension Tube.

And the years fly, our years fly like birds,

And once we look back ....

А годы летят, наши годы,

Как птицы, летят,

И некогда нам оглянуться назад....

Today its now 3 years ago when i posted my first picture here on Flickr, thanks for all the support over the time!!

Thousands of years ago ...

He lay ...

but not sleep dear ..

His face is staring ...

and his frozen smile as if to say ...

"we are at war ...

we're fighting against the sun ...

For proof that we once existed ... and are on this earth ... "

It's been thousands of years ...

he is lying ..

but not sleep dear ..

a hole in his chest was still burning, like his spirit ...

His face is staring at the sky ...

and his frozen smile seemed to say

"I'm still so young ..."

That day is a day without a hero ...

a day that no one can help him ...

and he made a story

for this world ...

Happy New Years from Mr. and Mrs. Tepes Belmont! 2021 the start of something new.

You never know when you're gonna meet someone

And your whole wide world in a moment comes undone

You're just walking around and suddenly

Everything that you thought that you knew about love is gone

You find out it's all been wrong

And all my scars don't seem to matter anymore

Cause they led me here to you

I know that it's gonna take some time

I've got to admit that the thought has crossed my mind

This might end up like it should

And I'm gonna say what I need to say

And hope to god that it don't scare you away

Don't wanna be misunderstood

But I'm starting to believe that this could be the start of something good

It's fascinating, I've visited this staircase several times. This is a picture from the first visit over 4 years ago.

Today, without remembering that I had already selected the picture back then to edit it, without knowing it, I selected it a second time.

When I had finished editing it, I found this old, finished edition from back then. I liked the picture and frame of the old picture better.

Nevertheless, I then tried to bring the reworking in the same direction and then also took over the old framework.

If the second attempt is as good as the first, or if the images are similar in quality, I don't know. In any case I find that they are very different despite all the similarity ... and therefore brought them both ...

4 years ago I decided to publish the photo upside down ...

this time I decided to take the original alignment ...

Heart beats fast

Colors and promises

How to be brave?

How can I love when I'm afraid to fall?

But watching you stand alone,

All of my doubt suddenly goes away somehow.

One step closer

I have died every day waiting for you

Darling, don't be afraid I have loved you

For a thousand years

I'll love you for a thousand more

Time stands still

Beauty in all she is

I will be brave

I will not let anything take away

What's standing in front of me

Every breath

Every hour has come to this

One step closer

I have died every day waiting for you

Darling, don't be afraid I have loved you

For a thousand years

I'll love you for a thousand more

And all along I believed I would find you

Time has brought your heart to me

I have loved you for a thousand years

I'll love you for a thousand more

One step closer

One step closer

I have died every day waiting for you

Darling don't be afraid I have loved you

For a thousand years

I'll love you for a thousand more

And all along I believed I would find you

Time has brought your heart to me

I have loved you for a thousand years

I'll love you for a thousand more

P.S. This was our view from the master bedroom at the Prowhouse on a rainy day.

This 1955 International R-110 series pickup truck poses in front of this 1865 barn in rural Warren County Illinois.

On 9 May 2019, three years ago, Timmy moved in with me. In short, these three years together can be described as follows: they were never boring :-))).

This is the anniversary treat on the 60-year-old family birthday plate: smoked Stremel salmon.

Timmy was estimated to be 4-5 years old in 2019 by the vet at the shelter, my vet was more for 5-6 years. So he should be about eight years old now - a lad in his prime. As the vet said the other day, "He's all bone and muscle!". Well, fur and a bit of brain is there too, I add ;-)

But despite all the excitement with him, this quote is true:

Where man and cat live together,

a house becomes a cosy home.

Nina Sandmann

I wish us many more healthy years together.

Four years ago I started in this virtual world. I did not understand it well, but today I think I made the right choice to stay, because through my photos I have achieved a happy and challenging experience, thanks to my good friends, who know who they are :))

Thanks to everyone who appreciates my work. Thank you for all the love I receive here and your recognition of my work. This is a fourth year of learning, as in RL, constantly learning.

Smiles for all, and never forget to look at the sky, for even clouds have their beauty :)))

Fjallabak Nature Reserve ( Iceland's southern Highlands) 20210717

Founded in 1979, the Fjallabak Nature Reserve is considered one of the most beautiful regions in Iceland. Covering an area of 450 km², it is made up of three glaciers supplying a multitude of rivers and lakes in ancient volcanic valleys. The landscapes of the Fjallabak Nature Reserve are provided with a prodigious mineral environment, generated by the simultaneous action of fire, water and ice. They are more broadly part of the Highlands of Iceland, a huge wild, and sparsely populated region. It is through its situation on the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, where the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates meet, that the intense volcanic activity of the archipelago has its origin. This has shaped Icelandic landscapes for 150 million years and the plates continue to deviate by some 3 mm per year.

About the only things in my garden which haven't threatened to die in the heat and drought this summer. These Crocosmia have been blooming every year I've lived here, that's more than 40 years. I popped out in the garden the other evening to get a shot, they were so bright !

I hope you like them too my friends.

Thanks so much to all who leave me a comment, a fave or just for looking - I hope you're not too hot !

The signal bridge at South Deshler is rather imposing on a rainy May evening. Placed in service in 1932, the bridge, and its dwarf signal companions, have been safely guiding trains south from Deshler for ninety years.

Yet, despite the age of the structure, the signals function as intended, here we see a train lined out of the west siding with a "Medium Clear" on the dwarf signal

No one quite knows when these signals will be retired, but, one thing is for certain, the B&O got their investment back.
