A friend of mine, Charles Needle and I had fun the other day taking xray images of flowers and other various objects. I came away with a renewed sense of the beauty of nature if we only have eyes to see.
This image was taken with a digital mammogram machine. The flowers were placed on the "bucky" and a low kev xray was performed. The xray machine outputs images in Dicom format which can be read by the Extended version of Photoshop CS and Photoshop CC. The normal black background image was then inverted and colorized in Photoshop.

I took this pinhole shot onto xray 6x10 inch film at f1600 yes f1600. Something strange is going on because its way better than I thought it would be. The camera is 1070mm long and the pinhole is 0.66mm. There is some fogging happening so I'll insert a light baffle and try again.
Exposure was only 90 seconds the xray film I'm using seems to be more sensitive at longer exposures.
Still playing with my new toy, a Faxitron MX-20 high resolution X-Ray cabinet. It's in need of calibration and a few other tweaks (hence the vertical banding in the images) but that's easily enough done when I've got five minutes.
This is a bloom taken from a cheap bunch of supermarket flowers, X-Rayed and then false coloured. Top left is the original image; the others are mix and match RGB and HSL with various adjustments applied to the original (eg tone mapping, channel linearity, Clarify). All manipulation done in Paint Shop Pro X.
I am seriously impressed with the Faxitron MX-20. It makes really good, high definition, high resolution images with just a single button press, sorting out all the exposure and other issues all by itself. Magic. Pity they're so expensive.

lo que finalmente me convenció a pagar por esta radigrafÃa (me habÃa dolido cabron el codo, metaforicamente) y pues nada... solo una inflamación fuerte que oprime los nervios.
This is easy to do in photoshop I just used two images with a layer mask on the image with the hood to allow you to reduce the opacity to see through to the engine image below. My Xray Vision shows me the engine area needs cleaning.

4 negative (4x5 xray) panorama on the top of Goldenberry hill. This was shot with a 4x5 zoom pinhole but my curved film plane '4 in a box' does the job better.
