XLProjects member Project Cargo & Yacht Transport recently accomplished two operations of loading and unloading of yachts. As always, the expert team of the company was not deterred by hostile weather conditions and went ahead with both the operations on rainy and windy days.
The first one, which weighed 17 tons, with a length of 13 meters, height 5.59 meters and width of 6.42 meters, had arrived from Antwerp to the port of Diliskelesi in Istanbul. It was a catamaran, and was offloaded from the vessel directly into the sea.
The second one weighed 23.5 tons, its length being 18.27 meter, height 5.51 meters and width 4.86 meters. This one was successfully loaded on a vessel at the Port of Derince in Istanbul and was headed to Doha.

CEA Projects recently moved 2 Catamarans on the Eastern Seaboard of Thailand’s Gulf Coast. One from the water to factory for repair and another brand new Cat from factory to the sea. The 1st Cat was 22m x 11m x 6m weighing 25tons while the 2nd working vessel was 20m x 8 x 6.5m weighing 35tons. While the 2 owners of the vessels are not related it just worked out to be perfect timing as both of the vessels needed to be moved so the owners got together working with CEA to split the Civil works which required leveling out the beach for shoring and launching, laying of steel plates so the 10 axle line hydraulic trailer and prime mover wouldn’t sink in the sand.
The 1st Cat – a sailing Cat didn’t have any engines and was positioned and beached using several zodiacs under rough conditions of 1.5m swells and 30 knot winds at high tide. When the tide receded, the steel plates were covered with sand and CEA’s team got to work quickly to get it clear so the trailer could be put into position.
The following day the new Cat was brought from the factory and laid down on sandbags at low tide. The steel plates were brought up and on lookers including the vessel owner, the manufacturers, CEA staff and tourists and locals alike waiting for high tide to roll in and bring the vessel out to sea.
All operations ran smoothly and everyone involved were very pleased with the safe and efficient movement of both Cats by CEA Projects based in Laem Chabang, Thailand.

The Sukari mine or Alsukari mine (Arabic: Al-Sukkari, Egyptian pronunciation: El-Sokkari) is a Gold Mine located in the Nubian Desert/Eastern Desert near the Red Sea in Egypt in the south-east of the country in the Red Sea Governorate, 30 km south of Marsa Alam. It is exploited jointly by the Egyptian Ministry of Mineral Resources and Centamin. It is Egypt's first modern gold mine, an industry considered to have scope for expansion in the country. Egypt was known in the ancient world as being a source of gold, and one of the earliest available maps shows a gold mine at this location.
It is a combination of an open-pit mine and an underground mine, with estimated reserves of 15.4 million oz of gold. The site is supplied by a 30 km long pipeline bringing water from the Red Sea.

CEA Project Logistics has become very well known as the company to call when it comes to launching Catamarans on the Eastern Seaboard of Thailand. Recently CEA launched a USD 2 Million Dollar Luxury 32 ton Catamaran using their 10 axle line hydraulic trailer and 2 x 65t mobile cranes. CEA had plenty of Modulift Spreader Bars and soft slings on hand to carry out the lift safely.
A smaller vessel known as the Gecko was launched a few weeks later and there are now 2 other Catamarans that will be launched before the New Year
