The Corpach wreck, photographed in June 2017.
The boat had been abandoned for some years but has boards and barbed wire to stop people trying to get on to it.

Not sure if adding myself could ever 'add' interest but thought I would give it a go. This is a first and maybe last visit to Longniddry Wreck - the sea, well sand, has all but reclaimed her. If interested I would say time your visit around mid-tide to get some water around the stumps. This is shot at full low tide.
This house was originally owned by one of Winnipeg's prominent citizens, furniture entrepreneur John Leslie.. Named The Elms, the 1905-built 2.5 story house had 22 rooms, a portico in front with Doric columns, rough-cut stone foundation, two sun porches including a semi-circular one facing the river, and fine internal finishings throughout.
By the 1950s, it had become a rooming house until being purchased by by two Winnipeg Tribune writers who restored and owned it in the period 1956-74.
In its final stage, it has been, for many years, a housing cooperative, occupied mostly by university students, I believe. One of those was Gary Doer who became Premier of the province and Canadian Ambassador to the US. This colorful period included its basement's role as a performance venue for music and poetry. Meanwhile, the house deteriorated, as I could see when frequently running or walking by it over the last 28 years.
The Elms is now being demolished and the land separated into two river lots.

Wreck of the Steamer Rhosneigr csn be seen at a very low tide opposite Rhos point.
The steamer was picking up passengers from Rhos on Sea Pier for a day visit to Balckpool, when it struck an object and sank.
The ship went aground on July 20th 1908. Fortunately there were no fatalities, as all passengers were offloaded safely.
On 22nd December, 1894, the Norwegian ship, Abana was sailing from Liverpool to Florida but was caught up in a storm and mistook the then recently built Blackpool Tower for a lighthouse. The Abana was first seen off North Pier but by the time the lifeboat, which had to be towed by horse from Blackpool to Bispham, had been launched it had drifted to Little Bispham where it was wrecked. The crew of 17 all survived including the ships dog and were taken to a public house in nearby Bispham where the Landlord ended up keeping the dog! The ship's bell still hangs in St Andrews Church in Cleveleys.
Had this photo of a school of African Pompano, circling a wreck in my minds eye for a while now. So grateful to capture it finally.
Now known as The Corpach Wreck, the MV Dayspring ran aground near the Corpach Sea Lock in December 2011 after breaking her mooring during a storm. She triggered an air sea search in 2017 when her emergency beacon was triggered, even though she had lain on the beach for several years.
Took a run down to Kircubbin on Tuesday to see if I could find these wrecks. I had seen many excellent shots by Dave Murdoch and more recently, a picture on the wall of the restaurant in Mount Stewart. I managed to blast off quite a few shots before my camera card showed full. A quick change of card and I carried on just as the rain moved in and stopped play!!!
When I eventually got home and put the card into my computer, it came up something about files corrupted and card being damaged?? I only took it out of the camera and put it into my holder. I haven't a clue what happened. After searching the internet I found a free program to recover the lost files. This is one of them. The shot that nearly wasn't :)

A wrecked Panzer I tank in the Eastern Front during the Second World War in Russia. This was actually a shot that did made it into the final brickfilm set in the Eastern Front about a girl selling matchsticks, what connects this conflict with a girl selling matchsticks can be found in the brickfilm; ''Lego War: The Little Match Girl'' wich I put the link of it in the description below.
This shot depicts a wrecked German Panzer I tank which crashed against a electrical pole in the streets of an unknown Russian town that got affected in the Eastern Front. The Pz I was widely used during the German invasion of Russia.
This shot was also part of a empty battle scene.
I'm overall pretty pleased how this shot turned out.
