Every time you wake up and ask yourself, What good things am I going to do today?, remember that when the sun goes down at sunset, it will take a part of your life with it. ~ Native American Proverb

To say that we celebrate Mardi Gras every day at our house may not be entirely true, but we DO have lots of beads and trinkets for when we DO! They are quite ordinary by now, so when I made a pile for Happy Caturday, must of the cats said, "Whatever," and went their merry ways! LOL! But Callie always wants to be sure she doesn't miss out on something, and Honeysuckle was surprized to find the beads on the couch today, as I am sure she knows it is NOT Mardi Gras season!
Happy Caturday! for the theme “celebration”
Saran Wrap!
What... thought I'd say "our love"... sheesh... Not that sappy! We got this stuff from Circuit City on their last day. 4 rolls of it. We tried being wrapped a few different ways and didn't even come close to using 1 roll. Guess we'll have to try again!
Thank you Aaron for helping us with the shot and using your camera. It's kinda hard to press any buttons when you're stuck together.
Desperately seeking something to photograph for the day. One photo a day. (22/366) -- January 22, 2020
so I can float away
breeze on my face
at the break of day
I need to be light
for a little while
fresh and renewed
maybe I
can be this with you?
so wrap me up, please
bring me in
and hold me closely
as the day ends

When I put this image on my computer screen, I noticed the way the feathers wrap around the chicken's side and chest. They seem to be an extension of the tail.
There is probably a good horticultural reason why these trees are wrapped up as if just purchased from some bizarre tree supermarket. Or maybe it's art....
Found these all wrapped up in a web while we were talking a walk on the shoreline at Lighthouse Landing....
Happy Halloween

Another week is done, and it's another weekend I won't be able to get out and snap any photos. This fall will be different.
On the positive side, it's supposed to rain the next couple days!

Part of my "Scanography" series. An ongoing series of images made using a scanner. Shot yesterday.
I gave my exhibition submissions in today and the people there seemed quite positive when they first saw them. Hopefully the judges will agree!
In other news, I've recently been published in an issue of Amateur Photographer Magazine. No idea what issue nor what for nor what image but I was sent an appraisal and a gift card so yay me. I checked the most recent issue and it doesnt seem to be that one. Anyone who's subscribed to AP, can you please check the issue before the latest for me to see if any of my images are in it? Would be VERY much appreciated! Or anyone who's been published in there before, do you know how long it takes for them to send prizes? (so I have a rough idea of which issue I was in or will be in)
I reached 450,000 views a few days ago so major thanks to everyone who's gotten me there! Next step, 500,000!!

While up in town with the wife for a between Christmas and New Year meet up with friends I took my camera to take some between Christmas and New Year shots afterwards. We met up in a pub in Holborn and I knew that a 'TfL Roundel' liveried bus ran on the 243 past the pub that I'd only snapped on my phone before while working nearby. So taking some shots of the Christmas Lights on leaving the pub, said bus came into view! Upon closer inspection of the photos afterwards I realised that it wasn't just the usual 'TfL Roundel' Wrap livery but a Christmas version of it, complete with Christmas lights and snowflakes on the side of the bus. To say I was pleased I'd snapped it would be an understatement! (or as excited as one can get taking a photo of a bus!)
My new design for a wire wrap cross tutorial.. The cross is made with 1 wire in a continuous design, the center has a champagne freshwater pearl. the necklace has freshwater pearls with faceted citrine gemstones.

I had so much fun on this foggy Sunday morning, fantastic compositions were everywhere. Normally I struggle in the woods but fog makes it so much easier.
