"Wrapped In Red" by Kelly Clarkson
Oh, this Christmas
I'm gonna risk it all
This Christmas
I'm not afraid to fall
So I'm at your door with nothing more
Than words I've never said
In all this white, you'll see me like
You've never seen me yet
Wrapped in red (ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh)
Our trip to the North East threw up a much varied mix of weather conditions, including heavy fog on the Thursday late afternoon.
We headed fo Long Beck, near Saltburn, for the last shot of the day, and caught 66187 with 6N52, the 1654 Skinningrove – Tees steel empties in the all enveloping conditions. Thursday 19.10.17

Where did you learn what it means to reciprocate?
And how much can I be expected to tolerate? Uh
So I started to think 'bout the plans I made
The debt unpaid
And you just can't call a spade a spade
I watch the moon
Let it run my mood
Can't stop thinking of you
I watch you (now I let it go)
(And I watch as things play out like)
So long nice to know you I'll be moving on

The "bats" or grey-headed flying foxes of Wollongong.
Every night there is a river of flying foxes leaving their roosting trees setting off to forage for food. Quite often we hear one in our back yard. Their favourite trees to roost in are casuarinas. This location is about 1 km (as the bat flies) from our house.
I is interesting to study how they wrap themselves up in their wings.
being alone, surrounded by shadows and lights ... talking to myself with my inner voice ... and I love it ...

This cloud-wrapped peak caught my eye as I was scouting Two Jack and Minnewanka Lakes near Banff. I don’t know the mountain’s name; under such circumstances I shoot first and ask questions later.
The “line_up“ is a paperwork series I developed since 2010. The “liners” are made out of paper (Din A3/A4),
oil paint and graphite. The theme is the hermetical laws of polarity and movement. There is no ending and no beginning in any direction, just an endless movement. You have the possibility to arrange the papers like you want and that makes it an endless playground for my photo-work and the eyes of the viewers.

Walking down Melrose drive I hear rap and next minute I see wrap.
This Dolophones SP - Wrap-around spider must have been in a wrap battle with another male by the looks. Not sure who won but it is now on a bit of a lean as he has a bung leg. I would call him I-lean but thats a Girls name. I dont know if he identifies as a wrap master or a toaster but I do not want to offend him.

Anthropogenic climate change is driving increasingly chaotic weather and the jet stream being more 'wobbly' is just one small part of that. The UK has been fluctuating between hot African airflow and bitter Arctic blasts as each low pressure system rolls on in from the Atlantic thanks to this 'wobbliness' in the jet stream.
Our flora and fauna must be really confused but at least us humans can wrap up warm when we need to.
We just had the wettest March on record followed by as much rain in the first half of April as you would expect for the whole of April. Still, this is nothing compared to the Middle East yesterday. Dubai and the UAE saw two years worth of rainfall in just one day! This is at just 1.5C above pre-industrial levels. The majority of climate scientists now say that +2C is baked in now due to lack of action on reducing greenhouse gas emissions. I dread to think the chaos yet to come.
Take care everyone.
