I discovered furoshiki wrapping just a few days before Christmas, when most of my gifts were already wrapped, but did do the last few in fabric rather than paper. I think it's a great idea to cut down on the huge amount of gift wrap that goes into landfill every year - as most gift wrap cannot be recycled.
I'm on the nice list this year! Santa wrapping paper and an Elf greetings tag make Christmas a special time of the year.
Busy once again. Hope to keep up posting new pictures from time to time.
Greetings
Kerstin
PS: hope the title makes some sense :)

As told here: flic.kr/p/2pn2AuY the Bay Colony Railroad has lowered its flag after 41 1/2 years.
After run to the Mass Coastal interchange in New Bedford to drop off three loads they are now headed back west to deliver three empty gons to Mid City Scrap before returning to Old Reed Road and shutting down....maybe for good. They are seen here rocking along at about MP 2.7 approaching the Faunce Corner Rd. crossing.
GP9 1706 which was blt. Nov. 1954 as Florida East Coast 658 is leading followed by GP9 1705 which was originally built in Apr. 1956 as Great Northern 704. Both units (plus 1701 in Millis) were included in the a to MC and it is uncertain what their future will hold.

My picture features a sheet of New Zealand Christmas wrapping paper. Christmas happens in the middle of Summer, here, so Christmas Day for the majority of us usually happens at the beach with a BBQ and of course we're all dressed in shorts and t-shirt. Families will enjoy their BBQ lunch (or dinner because we're on daylight saving and it doesn't get dark until 9pm) then they'll swim or play cricket on the sand or nearby grass area. You may notice that my wrapping paper features New Zealand Christmassy symbols, such as a BBQ and Jandals (perhaps known as flip-flops or thongs to you?) HMM and have a Merry Christmas 🎅

Secret presents -- no one knows!
The ongoing Christmas story:
P.S. I just learned how to download all kinds of paintbrushes to PS! Too fun!
BARBIE MEMORY:
When I was in fourth grade, I had to make a diorama of a mummy's tomb, so I took my Quick-Curl Barbie, cut her hair, and wrapped her in some gauze.
I made a death mask out of Play Dough, as well as canopic jars, filled with fake entrails. Later I unraveled her and used her as the "mean girl" in my Barbie play scenarios.

BNSF 6158 comes around the curve from Blue Mountain Drive to turn directly into the rapidly rising sun as it approaches the west end of Eisele (Clay). If you look closely, one of the tank cars to the left is passing by the silver control box for the hotbox detector at MP 22.6.
