From art works to ice-cream wrappers, from vinyl records to blog posts and tweets, what do our personal collections say about us? You can find these outside some stores and hotels. You take your wet umbrella (typically people in Japan use the big long ones with the curved handle), stick it inside, and it sort of pseudo-shrinkwraps your umbrella so you don't drip all over the place you're about to enter. When you leave, you toss the wrapping in the little garbage can on the right.

Amazingly recognizable packaging. As much as we all dislike MacDonald’s, their packaging is actually really good. They are cleverly designed and environmentally friendly too, to some extent. They were one of the first major fast food brands to move away from that Styrofoam. No city centre is complete without a food court and more prominently a few bits of fast food packaging hovering around. You have seen them, if you looked. Caught in a grate. Stuck under a bin. One sees so much of it that it becomes almost visual white noise. So much that, almost nobody notices those little bits of MacDonald floating around everywhere.
