got a sweet magnifying glass at Sammy's today. this is a woven straw wrapper at Lucky Devil's in Hollywood.

The cartouchey device being held can be 2 or 3-dimensional and is used in many Latin inscriptions and elsewhere as a graphic device. I don't know what it is called, can you help? Meanwhile, I shall refer to it as a 'toffee wrapper'.

These wrappers were stuck in the ends of the railings where the spikes had come off.

A colleague had a sore throat a couple of days ago, much better now so she donated the tablet wrapper to the cause.

I have fallen into a state of sloth tonight. Lindsay bought me one of my favorite 'foods' last night (Pop*Ice.) Anyway, I have put down about 15 of them tonight, and have been too lazy to deposit the wrappers in the trash. Lucky for me, this tiki mug presented itself at less than arm's reach. My camera was sitting here too, so I took a photo of my laziness.
