Unintentionally used the same look as my previous post for this, think it works though!

HFF everyone!

I encountered this yesterday in Belfast's Botanic Gardens. It was moving about in the wind in a most disturbing manner.

Spooky or odd places and things

Unpromising outlook in the Sandalp

A friend’s dog. A bit wet from from the river. Don’t worry soon dried off and in the warm. Usually fluffy looking.

Wraith is a Scottish dialectal word for "ghost, spectre, apparition"

Pulling into The W Hotel in Fort Lauderdale.

When I turned to look back, the trees had disappeared like wraiths in the mist.

Just a bit of surrealistic fun :-)

1949 Rolls Royce Silver Wraith at the Technik-Museum Speyer.

"Out of the unimaginable blackness beyond the gangrenous glare of that cold flame, out of the Tartarean leagues through which that oily river rolled uncanny, unheard, and unsuspected, there flopped rhythmically a horde of tame, trained, hybrid winged things that no sound eye could ever wholly grasp, or sound brain ever wholly remember..."

I have found that I have a plenty of those antennae pieces and decided to use them as wings for this quick build.

A ghostlike image of someone,,,

(or an old growth tree stump covered in moss and lichen)

It's an upload!

Yes, I am back! Here is my latest figure - inspired by a movie from when I was younger - 'Shooter'. I am really happy with the way this figure turned out - let me know what you think!

I gotta say, this thing is a real beaut'. It has all the features of a wraith, including an opening plasma mortar, and posable wings. However, I was not able to include a cockpit :( This also marks the first time I included lights in a MOC, located in the forward and back wings, and on the back.

Kinetic Photograph made with one single long exposure shot, printed straight out of camera.

If you’d like to read more details about how the shot is made see below. And for more of my kinetic photographs here’s my set, "Drawing with Light"

Kinetic: Relating to, caused by, or producing motion.

These are called “Kinetic” photographs because there is motion, energy, and movement involved, specifically my and the camera’s movements.

I choose a light source and/or subject, set my camera for a long exposure (typically around 4 seconds), focus on my subject and push the shutter button. When the shutter opens I move the camera around with my hands...large, sweeping, dramatic movements. And then I will literally throw the camera several feet up into the air, most times imparting a spinning or whirling motion to it as I hurl it upward. I may throw the camera several times and also utilize hand-held motion several times in one photo. None of these are Photoshopped, layered, or a composite photo...what you see occurs in one shot, one take.

Aren’t I afraid that I will drop and break my camera? For regular followers of my photostream and this series you will know that I have already done so. This little camera has been dropped many times, and broken once when dropped on concrete outside. It still functions...not so well for regular photographs, but superbly for more kinetic work.

Shot in Laguna Beach CA, this car was part of an inventory photo shooting for Evan Paul Motorcars.
