This guy was the most intelligent of the orangutans. He could open, drink from, refill and close water bottles. He would often pick sticks off the ground, hand them to you and push his back against the cage wanting his back scratched! He would then take the stick back and wait expectantly for you to turn around so he could scratch your back!

After 2 days of trekking already we are now in sight of the summit of Gunung Semeru, named Mahameru. We are currently at 2,800 m!
