What an incredible weekend for Ryan Eversley and the RealTime Racing team, at Road America! After a dominating 1-2 finish for Ryan and teammate Peter Cunningham, on Saturday, Ryan started Sunday’s Pirelli World Challenge GT race on the pole, led the entire race from green to checker, and claimed his second win of the weekend! So that makes another three trophies, 2 wins, and a second place, for the RealTime Acura TLX-GTs on Forgeline one piece forged monoblock GTD1 wheels! Great job, Guys! 4 brothers have made tracks throughout this stretch of jungle in Sabah, Borneo. Using their machetes they make lashes in the bark. Rubber collects on the small ledge from and runs down and off into a small plastic cup.
Liquid rubber is collected and put into larger containers. They have small processing camps set up where they can heat up the rubber and let it settle on a flat bed to remove impurities. It is then left to cool and slabs of pure rubber are formed. These brothers make around £1000 GBP per month selling rubber. The work is relentless and the distances they cover are huge. It took my trekking team 3 days to cover what they would have to walk in one.

The devastation of the December 2004 Tsunami killed nearly 300,000 people and caused $15 billion in damages. Over a million people were displaced from their homes. In Thailand, the tourist industry, which sees over 5 million visitors a year and over $7 billion come into the country is was badly affected. Andaman Discoveries has been working with local villages to bring tourists in to help with restoration. Some even take the option to do a ‘home stay’, living and eating with local families, to help with the reconstruction. It’s a new approach to tourism which places most emphasis on channelling goodwill and resources to protecting the local cultures, which so far have been unscathed by mass, package-holiday tourism

Stopping the car in the middle of the road isn't a problem in the quiet outskirts of Ulan-Bataar, Mongolia. We were catching the #23 bus in the background, going to the city centre, and when we got back the car had gone, so presumably they fixed it!
A group of us volunteered in a South African primary school where we taught the children, and made improvements to their run down school.
Sooo many words to describe this week! (which was the best of my life so far!) Inspiring, life changing, emotional, fun, special, rewarding, unforgettable, harrowing, tragic, heartwarming...
These children were waiting patiently to have their hands painted to make hand prints to go on their classroom wall! They were the reception class.
