Today’s World Challenge P Zero has an external profile and internal structure which is designed to maximize the dimensions of the contact area. The tire’s belt geometries and highly aromatic oil-free (HAOF) materials have been developed to optimize the lateral force generated in cornering on the racetrack – demonstrated here by the Cadillac CTS-VR of the #8 team. Good old Yankee ingenuity put the Cadillac in front of the less powerful, but no less nimble Volkswagen.
