I got rid of the weird F2k pice and changed to Duke's rails. Credit to him for that, by the way.

I know, it's a mess. I'v been living tiny rooms in shared flats for the last ten years and I am sick of it. My current flatmate told me several times in the past weeks that he wanted to leave so I could rent the hole flat and move my Lego to a bigger room with proper storage and all. I figured cleaning up wouldn't be worth the trouble if it's only for a few days, but he postponed again and again. Starting September I will begin my apprenticeship as a carpenter and since I am a slow builder and will have significantly less time then I want to get as much building done as I can now, so the mess will only get bigger for the rest of the month.
Textbooks? Digital. Teaching tools? iPad. Filing cabinet? Dropbox.
This is my simple little modern teacher home workspace. I am plugged in, connected to my work, students, and my learning network online. Plus I have space to work when I do have papers to grade. And yes, that is Mickey Mouse holding my wires.

Can remember if I have ever uploaded a workspace photo from this angle or not. While this was taken a few days ago the table top still needs to be fully cleared.
Finally I got my desk cleaned,I must say that I´m very proud of myself while watching this. There is still some parts that are not shown in photos including most of my slopes, baseplates etc.
I hope that I´m not only preson in flickr who enjoys seeing other peoples workspaces.
So I challenge EVERYONE to do this. ;)
I cannot tell you how much I look up at this bulletin board and get that fire in me belly going. There are so many little details, I'll have to do a bit of background info on some of the fun on display here. Fun fun fun!
Making →www.lifedesignedit.com/en/minimal_workspace
I tried use my narrow space efficiently.
Main feature is the loft storage built by ikea stolmen pole and some wood materials.
I built them without fixing to the room because room is for rent.
Other features
・Desk can be used on recliner chair
・Standing-desk can be folding
・Monitor (of the standing-desk) can be watched by anywhere in the room. (Using Monitor arm)
・Wall hook made with folding table leg
All details and making is in the link list in above link page. Thanks!
so the ones interested can know a little more about me:)
BTW the desk itself is also my design, built with the help of my brother
tech porn :D
nah, kidding. Uploading this not just to geek-out, but to illustrate two philosophies I have when it comes to tech.
Firstly, lesser tech means a simpler life, and the simpler life is always the better life. I only have one computer, the MacBook pro, powerful for all my needs yet portable enough to lug around. When I reach home, I dock it into an external monitor, magic trackpad, and a separate keyboard. Having only one computer for everything means it's easy to manage my files and life is less complex.
Secondly, I'm crazy about backup! I believe that a file only exists when it exists in two or more places. The mac is resting on a drobo, my main backup machine consisting of 4TB of redundant storage. That's the primary backup, managed using Time Machine. All data on the drobo is then backup-ed a second time to external hard drives (not pictured). This way, I can have a peace of mind that I will never lose a file. Unless my house burns down of course.
This is my workspace, and it works well for me. Dual monitors are a big plus to productivity! Consider getting an external monitor if you're not using one.
Well, this is starting to turn into something vaguely resembling a home.
I'm thinking of clearing off the coffee table and using that as my sorting staging area so that I can have the desk to work at and build, and can sit down and watch stuff while I sort.
I just cleaned my workspace, rearrange, and reorganise everything. I'm not used to seeing it so spacious...
Autumn 1993. My workspace. Mac LC, Eizo monitor, laser printer, double speed CD-player from Apple, cartridge drive and a fax! Digitised with a Nikon D800E using a modified Bowens Illuminator which probably first saw the light of day in the sixties! Camera was the Mamiya Six with 35mm panorama insert.
