Today was wonderful. Sixty degrees, bright sunshine, cloudless sky, light breeze. HAD to grab the camera and head out.
Several observations about the day...but first, the photo. This fellow had obviously just completed a weights workout. He then stepped out for a walk to cool down. Pretty impressive.
Other thoughts: First and very important to me...the entire trail around the lake is open. Apparently the virus stopped the work that had closed the trail...and the decision was made to open it up. GOOD!
And it was full of people...biking, jogging, walking sightseeing. Social distancing? Yes and no. Me, I work alone, and I don't touch anything.
There was plenty to photograph at the lake, and then I went on into the woods, where there were additional subjects for my camera. The next several days will show some of those photos.
But two important observations. First, we will end up with the most physically fit dog population ever. EVERYONE was walking one or more dogs. I went for a bit of a drive, and every block had one or more people exercising their dogs.
And the second profound observation: From what I saw today, seeing the bikers, the young lady joggers, etc., we likely will be seeing a SPANDEX shortage. Oh my.
Here you go Elspeth. I was already working on this one actually, haha. One of Speedcats first 'costumes' is going to be something like this. But ultimately, such fabrics do not last long at superspeed! :o

It was just a summer experiment, but we should always trying to improve ourselves by going out of our comfort zone with fun!
