King of a faction I'm working on. He has an outer cape from Royal Brick Customs, over a standard dark blue cape.

Hand made paper which has been stitched on to calico and then wet and rubbed back.

I made a few changes for stability and whatnot. I got a little ahead of myself with the last one, this one should be a much better baseline for my build style.

Now to make a head and get cracking on the armor and details.

A few of the pieces I'm working on at the moment. They are waiting for the resin to be inlayed, hoping to get them done over the next day or two.

I was given a sheet of magazine scraps which had been applied to a background in a haphazard manner and was asked to use this as a source of inspiration!

I find this sort of challenge VERY difficult as I usually work to an idea, not an image.

After a mild panic I decided to gesso the whole page in an attempt to tone down the images and then I used it to create a folder which I then die cut and embossed.

I then grabbed the scrap bag and started to machine embroider images which started to leap from the page.

This is one sample.

Ahhhh Since no one wants to enter my giveaway, I started working on July's On9 release. :P

A page of a little book to be.

Work in progress for the Singapore Garden Festival 2018 at the Gardens by the Bay from 21 July - 3 August 2018

Será que alguém desconfia quem seja?

(não aguentei, tive que postar!)

Having fun with colour sampling

I am leading a workshop called "The Book Artist as an explorer" and as a result I have discovered some treasures which have been hidden from view for a while.

I am now inspired to carry on with some work which has been left unfinished for some time

This shows some examples of pottery collected on beaches in Shetland

I have ordered 180lb of paper...yes i know it sounds crazy but look at them!!

Sit up Straight, and place your napkin in your lap.

I am in the process of machining a large scale fingerprint which will form part of my latest Women's' Suffrage project.

This measures 6 inches by 5 inches and is on a calico base.

I prefer not to hoop up my fabric, but in this case it was necessary as the circular stitching would have distorted the fabric rather too much.

Machine stitching the base and starting to develop the directional stitching.

Was home sick from work all day, and still feeling lousy. The upside is I built some more buildings and additional stuff for the layout.

This isn't a "final scene", I just got bored and wanted to test an idea.
