I was given a sheet of magazine scraps which had been applied to a background in a haphazard manner and was asked to use this as a source of inspiration!
I find this sort of challenge VERY difficult as I usually work to an idea, not an image.
After a mild panic I decided to gesso the whole page in an attempt to tone down the images and then I used it to create a folder which I then die cut and embossed.
I then grabbed the scrap bag and started to machine embroider images which started to leap from the page.

one day, I will get to this point and say it's done. but for now, I just *need* to add one of my transfers to it.
I've been finishing off the edges of the ties on my Political Jewellery book.

The project involved making an installation with the help of the local community in an unoccupied and slightly derelict house over two weeks. By the 24th of november, the house will be filled with installations and art by around 20 artists. More info here www.nowanowa.com/
The Weston Sub is a work in progress, changing day by day. As you can see, the old main has been torn up in certain sections and moved off to the side, the new main to the left is now in service. In a few more months, there will be three main tracks as evidenced from the signal bridge in the back ground.

I was motivated to learn crochet for stress relief. I must say that I'm really enjoying it and can't wait until I'm skilled enough to try to make clothes with it! 😊
