another round of mini books, this time with a reinforced binding which interconnects the pages better... our papermaking hill is hot, very hot, 34 Celsius daily... but worse, my husband with fractured collarbone and rib, and the car broke down this morning... will it become easier soon? sigh...
Even though it is Wednesday, I can't be wordless on this photo because I need to use this space to say thanks to my dear friends who encouraged me to push beyond my creative block yesterday and take a photo. I was so ready to quit this project. Sometimes, all you need is a little nudge from the people you trust to find a way to keep trying.
You all know who you are, but special thanks to Brooke, who especially inspired this shot.
I'll be back with something Wordless later today...
My trust is sacred
Your betrayal stings
I'll assume my part of the guilt
if you're willing to meet me halfway
I've kind of lost faith in humanity lately. People that I never thought could turn on me have done exactly that. And I'm still hurting.

I love the abstract, delicate, profound, vague, voluptuously wordless sensation of living ecstatically.

As you maybe can see, the landscape in my sunsets is often the same. I usually take this pictures from my rooftop. A show that's always the same, always different.

I spent ages with this gentle, majestic giant. We watched each other and he gave me a little smile ... or maybe I just wished for a smile. It felt like wordlessly communicating. My heart was bleeding seeing this wonderful animal confined. Today, mountain gorillas are threatened, not due to a demand for their meat, or their infants, but due to a demand for the lush forest in which they live. Without the forest the gorillas will not survive. I wish we would eventually understand that protecting the forest is the first step to saving the gorillas.
(P.S. This gorilla is of course not living in a cage. In Hannover zoo ten gorillas inhabit a 7,500 sqm hilly forest landscape recreating the East African homeland of these gentle giants in the best possible way.)

“I’m interested in diverse layers of communication; paradoxically, of the wordless as an entity by which I mean, torn from the Tuscarora or Mohawk languages of my traditional belonging, I am presented with a void in my practice. Yet, I carry a reciprocal Responsibility of Knowledge, so returning to Six Nations as a participant in the land and an observer of its latent meanings, I have acquired a new enthusiasm through a de-essentialized process – of image gathering and being in a state of constant reflexive return. The dissociation brought about by my dilemma becomes a Wandering With Purpose that allows the gleaning of images and events as evidence stored within the land. Once this evidence is picked-up, I then decode and present what a wordless trauma would look like. Dissimilar images can also reveal unexpected affinities, as they shadowed one another.
I exist within the process of Transforming Belonging by way of selecting more complex images that challenge essential thinking. The images here are of deep personal connections to family, land and systemic deficits that continue to exist. Working through personal condolence countervails the dragging of an ancestral presence, which causes a traumatic shadow. The idea is to recognize that trauma precipitates a transitional stage of change.”

I don't know if there is actually anyone who is anxiously waiting for me to upload something new,but if there is,sorry for the delay.
This capture was actually taken in April 1st but I wasn't so sure if it had the feeling I wanted to show you.
My boyfriend saw it and said I should upload it and I fully trust his opinion,so there you go.
A huge thanks to all of you who are constantly checking my work.

Asemic writing is a wordless open semantic form of writing. The word asemic means "having no specific semantic content", or "without the smallest unit of meaning". With the non-specificity of asemic writing there comes a vacuum of meaning, which is left for the reader to fill in and interpret.
I love accidental shots:) I hiked along the coastline by the Bluffs to get close enough to the lone rock peaking out from Lake Ontario. Once I did, rain started pouring and the surroundings was engulfed by an intense fog with the rock disappeared along with it. Despite the weather, I attempted a few long exposures but they didn't turn out ok. While I was trekking back through the rocky coastline, I know why, I looked back and saw this! The storm has passed and much of the fog was lifted allowing the colours of the sunset to saturate into the sky.
You agitate me!
Our frozen cells
Hang where we left them
In the wordless air,
Connected to another
Perfect secret account
Of our lives,
Deep and unexpressed,
Easily bruised and broken,
Like a careless colour;
Red
Full

There will always be new wordless songs, new humless tunes
Chicago sings these songs each day
Chicago who wears her skyscrapers like a necklace ...
~Frank Marshall Davis, from "Chicago's Congo"
Twisting, dashing down a cliff,
dancing waters fall so fast,
joining many other streams,
making a river large, at last.
Gurgling, laughing over boulders,
singing wordless melody.
There are nooks on mossy banks
to read a story, or just be.
Sparkling droplets of mist
makes you feel so cool.
Down the water trail
twinkle fish in a quiet pool.
Relaxed for a little while,
limp as a tall green stem,
Watching bushy leaves
as gentle breezes move them.
Then, peacefully, home you go
with quiet in your heart
knowing you may return
When silent yearnings start.

"The continual stream of new discovery, revelation and inspiration which arises at every moment is the manifestation of our clarity. We should learn to see everyday life as mandala - the luminous fringes of experience which radiate spontaneously from the empty nature of our being. The aspects of our mandala are the day-to-day objects of our life experience moving in the dance or play of the universe. By this symbolism the inner teacher reveals the profound and ultimate significance of being. Therefore we should be natural and spontaneous, accepting and learning from everything. This enables us to see the ironic and amusing side of events that usually irritate us.”—Diego Khyentse RInpoche

“I found I could say things with color and shapes that I couldn’t say any other way—things I had no words for.”—Georgia O’Keefe
“Everybody should have his personal sounds to listen for - sounds that will make him exhilarated and alive or quite and calm.... One of the greatest sounds of them all - and to me it is a sound - is utter, complete silence.”—Andre Kostelanetz

My Face Is My Canvas - Emulation #8
For the challenge yesterday we weren't aloud to write any titles, descriptions, or tags on our photo. It killed me not to be able to write anything. Although who would have ever thought that a photo with nothing would make Front Page Explore. Not me, Well I never though in a million years that I would make it period. I am super stoked and amazed. I am at a loss for words!
The idea of this came to me in my sleep. I woke up yesterday morning with this idea. So I ran to Michaels and bought the face paint pencils and this mask. I hung my little white sheet on a book shelf in front of my bedroom window. Which is the only place in my house I get any type of lighting. I drew the design on half my face!! It took about 30 minutes. I couldn't imagine doing the other half. I grabbed my camera and guess what the battery was dead. I hadn't even realized it died yesterday. I was not a happy camper. I knew I wouldn't be able to keep the make up looking great for to long. I popped the battery on the charger for 10 minutes, took it off and started shooting. Knew I didn't have much time before it died again. Luckily I got a few shots that I liked, although this one was the Winner!
My baby boy is feeling much better. I wish he would stop catching all these bugs. I really hope this was the last one.
Today I was on a Cyndi Lauper kick. I watched all her videos on you tube. Plus a few other Pop Artist from the 80's.
I see your true colors
shining through
I see your true colors
and that's why I love you
so don't be afraid to let them show
your true colors
true colors are beautiful
like a rainbow
THANK YOU!! Everyone for all your comments and favs. I still can't believe I made Front Page Explore. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!
