Wolves 2012

These images were taken on a Members Wolf Walk held by the UK Wolf Conservation Trust www.ukwolf.org. The trust has 7 wolves living in 3 packs. The trust aims to raise awareness of the plight of wolves around the world. Even though these wolves have been desensitised to humans they are still wild wolves. The wolves set the pace on the walks and decide how long the 'meet & greets' go on for.

Wolves are generally quite bored with humans. Here one notices us and before returning to his nap, takes time out to alert the others of our visit.

For some really great pictures of these wolves without the fence in the way see these:

Cold weather was cool (pardon the pun) not just for polar bears, but for wolves as well... they were active and playful.

Tuck is a socialized wolf but not imprinted. That means he is used to humans but knows he's not one. He is this shy and he's used to humans. Wild wolves are terrified of us.
