At Langedrag Nature Park, you can go in with "unsocialized" wolves. In a sense, they are untrained, though they are somewhat accustomed to humans entering their presence every so often and will come up to explore.
Obviously you cannot pet them, but it was really neat to have them within 2-3 feet of you as they investigated the new addition to their pen.
Caught this guy emerging from the brush in Denali National Park, Alaska. This was a lone scout wolf found in an area of Denali where a pack is known to hunt.

The rescued wolves stay in runs especially made for them. They are quite territorial and may look upon your approach as threatening. To protect them and the visitor there is a ten foot chain link fence and a second fence to keep the visitors from touching the first fence. They are well cared for so escaping is not something they desire to do, but they like to burrow and make caves. The wire extends down into the ground so that the wolf cannot accidentally dig out.

First time at Parc Omega in late spring. It was a fairly warm day in the early afternoon, which might explain why the various animals in the park weren't quite as numerous as I have seen on previous visits (in Autumn). Still well worth a visit, at any time of the year :-)
