Two wolves, probably hunting.
febuary 4, 2008. the wolf numbers are getting really high here in northern saskatchewan, I enjoy watching wolves and am glad their still around but they sometimes become a nuisance when outfitting because if there are wolves anywhere near the area youre hunting you wont see a deer until they leave, which could take almost a week or more.
With this guy and the rest of his pack. The photography seminar was incredible, and the chance to spend four hours in the pack enclosure photographing these guys was unreal.
Taken at the Muskoka Wildelife Centre during a fantastic daytrip with Angie, Karen, Lynn and Dave. It was a great experience learning about the individual animals, their life history and situation. We got really lucky with the weather ... it was pouring rain early in the morning but we were able to delay our start time and it cleared up nicely. The light in the enclosure was quite good. I shot with two cameras to cover a full range. The 70-200 on the 40D was great for everything but the wider views, for which I used the 5DII and 24-105 combo. As a result these aren't cropped, other than on the short side a little for composition.
