A slow shutter speed shot on a beach with added texture and tone .

Yesterday morning at the Four Mile Cove Eco Park. I had the place to myself. What a nice bonus with the sun rising and reflecting on the water through the mangroves. Oh and hints of fall on the boardwalk!

With her high cheekbones and her hair in an elegant bun, she made me imagine a fashionable lady in the Roman Empire.

Azure Kingfisher with a freshly caught fish that looks too big to eat! A particularly fine specciment of a bird with what looks like freshly minted nice new blue plumage.

Osprey with catch gets chased by Sea Gull.

The Osprey was continually harassed by this Seagull for quite some time as the Osprey rode the updrafts in order to get higher. I managed to get a couple of hundred shots of this encounter and after a while, the Osprey landed on a rock ledge where it finally devoured its meal in peace.

Trim songbird with pointed bill, grayish above, pale below. In the Top End of the Northern Territory, back slightly browner; in north Queensland, back more greenish gray. Smaller and more slender than female Golden Whistler. Forages fairly low in dense vegetation such as mangroves, wetter forests, or swampy woodlands. Common song a ringing, two-noted whistle. (eBird)

A small, plain bird hiding in the early morning gloom and whistling his early morning song. He didn't really want to be seen, but I got him anyway.

Halva is an oriental sweet made from caramel mass whipped with a foaming agent and crushed roasted kernels of nuts, peanuts, oil seeds (sunflower, sesame), with a mass fraction of fat of at least 25%. Halva is also called other types of sugary confectionery.

On the left in the photo, the halva is decorated with edible rice paper butterflies. They are tasteless but look beautiful.

I don't really like halva, it's very sweet :) And I liked it with coffee. I know at least three recipes for coffee with halva. Here is one of them.

ingredients:

ground coffee - 1 teaspoon (I like strong coffee, so there were 3 coffee spoons)

water - 120 ml

halva - 20 - 50 g (I took about 20 g)

milk - 120 ml

Cooking:

Brew coffee (or prepare in a coffee machine).

Mix hot milk with halva and punch with a blender.

Pour into a cup of coffee, add a mixture of halva with milk. And enjoy! You can add whipped cream if you like.

House with reflection in a pond in the Abramtsevo estate. Moscow region. Russia.

The building of the former medical building of the sanatorium, which was built next to the manor house in 1938. Here are the works of artists of the XX-XXI centuries, creatively associated with Abramtsevo. Many of these craftsmen lived and worked in the summer cottage village of Novo-Abramtsevo, founded in the 1930s near the estate.

In 1843, the estate was acquired by the writer Sergei Timofeevich Aksakov (1791–1859). Since then, many cultural figures have come here: writers Nikolai Gogol and Ivan Turgenev, historian Mikhail Pogodin, actor Mikhail Schepkin.

In 1870 the estate was bought by a wealthy industrialist and philanthropist Savva Mamontov. Two years later, the Abramtsevo art circle was conceived. Ilya Repin, Viktor Vasnetsov, Mikhail Vrubel, Isaac Levitan, Valentin Serov and others came here to visit and work.

After the 1917 revolution, the state established a museum in the estate. Now on the territory of the reserve there are architectural monuments of the XVIII-XIX centuries.
