Ava and one of the witch hats hanging in the parking strip. When I took pictures of her in this spot a couple years ago, there was a lot less landscaping under the trees, so I'm glad I still was able to get a couple shots of her with the witch hats this year.
3 days before i arrived the cemetery was broken into with bodies missing from their graves, said to be used for old rituals. & cats that hang around are said to be a witches cat.

October 31, 2020 - I ran across a pair of witches sailing on the Scioto River. It is Halloween so you never know what you will see during the COVID Pandemic in Columbus, Ohio.
Witches did not do magic, they knew how to use the gifts of nature. See more at visualmedia.panthera.nl

So, I learned that the witch's fingers puff up A LOT when they are baked. Next time I'll make them even skinnier. Some of these look more like weird toes then fingers, they are so fat.
I didn't have time to take a really good picture or photoshop, and I was fooling around with the plate, so forgive me my inadequacy and my sins. I'll try for a better picture if any are left at the end of the night.

February 10, 2019 – Witch Hazel Bouquet.
Our Horticulturist was pruning our various Witch Hazel shrubs last week, so we were fortunate to have small branches from three of them in vases for the past several days. The warmth inside forced the flowers, creating three stunning displays: ‘Jelena’ (orange), ‘Pallida’ (yellow) and ‘Ruby Glow’ (red).
Because these three plants are in their own spots in the garden, the various colours of flower do not get to play together, making this “group photo” a pretty rare one!
Wonderful to have colour inside, and we look forward to the shrubs blooming outside in the next few weeks as they are winter bloomers.
