Witch Hazel Blooming in a warm afternoon sun. Yesterday while cold, the sun was warm if you were in it and the witch hazels started to open up. This is one of the hybrid hazels in my yard, my vernal hasnt fully bloomed yet so I used this one as my test subject. Marco is hard, the depth of field is so shallow, even if you step the lens down a bunch to get more in focus and even then it starts to ruin the background. So this is round 1 of what im sure will be several shots so stay tuned for progress. Plus its awfully nice to have them in my yard, so i dont have to go far to find them haha
The witch hazel is very red now but not for much longer. The wind is starting to blow and the leaves are starting to fall.

The witch's dragon-powered airship from Fright Knights was one of those for me. I've tried to built a new version of it before, but the colours were all wrong. So after some small investments in parts, I redid it like so. A fun build all around!

Witch Hats completed! Whew, they took forever, I put a lot of work into these! This is the chocolate jewel toned one. Made from cotton velvet, with a silk teal band, and lots of rustic trims, decorations, and beads.
The hats were made for "minifee" but they are large enough to fit many types of dolls. The hole for the head is roughly size 7 in terms of wigs, and both 6/7 and 7/8 heads can fit it easily. You can use the hat for 8/9 and 9/10 heads if you just place the hat on top for photos or display. I took photos of the hats on various sized dolls so I'll post those later. There is wire in the brim so you can bend it into whatever shape you like.
Hats will go up for sale this Saturday, at 1pm central time.

The rain let up and I headed to the woods. Looking for any new plants I found some lovely Witches Butter.

....aka hamamelis. I've always loved taking flower shots ever since I first had a p&s and this bush is more unusual, has a beautiful scent too.

It's autumn here in the southern hemisphere, and my friend decided to do a Halloween party, so I went as a witch (I know, typical, but why not right?) It was a pretty easy outfit to put together, I already had the top and skirt so I bought the hat online and found these striped stockings to go with it. The costume worked I think, judging from the cracked mirror, LOL.
