"The falling leaves drift by the window
The autumn leaves of red and gold....
I see your lips, the summer kisses
The sunburned hands, I used to hold
Since you went away, the days grow long
And soon I'll hear 'ol winter's song.
But I miss you most of all my darling,
When autumn leaves start to fall." -Johnny Mercer
Have an awesome Friday, and wonderful weekend, my friends :-)

This is the second version of last weeks photo creation. I like that the same design can change with the colouring.
Happy Slider Sunday
The footpaths teem with wooded laugh,
the sylph she giggles atop aerie slumber,
tickled in soft-slender breeze;
the nectar dews,
meady-moss and carpet-leaves,
juniper and berry-sweet breath
She sings amid the sylvan shade
nothing to do but sigh and dream
her wanton-wistful way
I am love with this twirl effect, which you can look up on you tube. I did another version of this piece with some different colours which I will post next Slider Sunday.
Seems Flickr is acting up again.......
Happy Slider Sunday

Another for the dictionary series, this time a daisy from this past autumn.
For my favourite Dictionary of Image Group
Like the winter rose longing for the summer...
"Yeah, I know (I know) you'll tell me when I get there, yeah
I think of you when I think about forever"
'The sun is sleeping quietly
Once upon a century
Wistful oceans calm and red
Ardent caresses laid to rest..
For my dreams I hold my life
For wishes I behold my nights
The truth at the end of time'
"Sleeping Sun" is a power ballad by Nightwish. The song was written by Tuomas Holopainen and dedicated to the solar eclipse that arose on the European sky in 1999. It is one of my favorites songs of all time.

I was on the beach, where the back gardens of the
houses have steps to the beach and this little dog
was looking at the dogs having fun there,
but he could,nt get out to play.

Some little dried grasses gently coated in frost. Thanks for all the lovely comments on my little frosted rosebud.
Today at Nisqually NWR there were five-times as many people as birds, so I was extra-happy to see one of my favorites pop up.
A little albino wallaby looking wistfully at something beyond the fence at ZooDoo. From my 2017 visit to Tasmania.
A quick trip down to the dock on a bright sunny morning confirmed that it's not quite time to turn over the canoe...;-)) About three feet (a meter or so) of ice remains as a more than effective deterrent. While we've escaped much of the snow this year, the same cannot be said for the cold. Unless we happen to have a very mild March, the frozen lake will linger about a month or more.
A charming little garage in my neighborhood. With the wisteria just coming into bloom it's a pretty thing...

I have been remembering my parents lately. My mother passed away two years ago yesterday, and my dad six years. The text in this image is from a book my dad had as a child, and the portrait is my mother on the day she got engaged to my dad. She has passed on her love of flowers to me, and my dad has passed on his love of reading. I miss them!
