Ordered a Pro Series Wireless RF Remote by Accessory Power from Amazon.

It works okay, but I do have some cons on it.

First off, the part that receives the signal mounts to the hotshoe. It does not use the hotshoe at all, but it mounts there. So you can't really attach external flashes or anything to your camera at the same time.

My trick around this is to turn it backwards so that it sits on the hotshoe, but there is still room for the on-camera flash to pop up enough to still access commander mode for any CLS systems.

But if you turn it backwards, every once and a while, the receiver will pick up the signal, but the shutter on release. Then it will queue the signal until it can shoot again. Once it can, it will just shoot and shoot and shoot and shoot and shoot and shoot until you take the battery out of the receiver and put them back in.

But it wasn't super expensive, and you get what you pay for. Overall, it serves its purpose.

I have this wonderful little addition for my iPod - a wireless connection for the car. Regardless, of where I am I can listen to my favourite tunes in the car without the need of wires and fittings. Just turn my iPod on and it players through the car's stereo system.

A little lame for the challenge but just trying to catch up!!

Our Daily Challenge - ATTACHMENTS AND CONNECTIONS

the wire is hold in place using superglue. The wires are flattend with pliers. I also removed some exess isolation using a sharp knive.

Wireless Festival - Sunday 03-07-11

Installing the RM-E10 remote, as you can see it was a close fit. I soldered the wires from the E10 directly to pins 1 and 2 of the grips button. This makes the NEX fire when I do a half press, not my favorite, but it wouldn't work other ways that I tried. When I had it set for full press, it would cause my Alpha bodies to fire on half press, this was because the E10 was adding a resistance across the pins that was low enough to cause my Alphas to fire. So I had to do it this way to make the grip work with both NEX and Alpha.

You can also sort of see how I taped the battery for the E10 directly onto it. I will have to take the grip apart to replace the battery, but that should only be every couple years, they last a long time in my experience.

A friend of mine hooked me up with the wireless mighty mouse yesterday. I love it so far.... I was holding out for a 2 button wireless mouse from Apple for a long time. No light shines under the mouse like with the optical mouse. I hope that means the battery lasts alot longer. I've also noticed that it works on more surfaces.

Bored again, decided to shoot some product photography. This particular unit does not work, unfortunately.

Is it hanging wirelessly in the air? :O What's holding it up??? Two ways of doing this... A) drop the object in front of the lens and hope you're fast enough on the shutter button, or B) suspend from a thread and photoshop it out later. ;D

Completely unstable.

Obviously the network engineer didn't read the "must be configured to use the same radio channel" bit.

A bit alarming the "abcnet" network that's not even used on the 7th floor is SO strong and dominates the majority of the channels.

This is how I use any other wireless flash system with the built-in Sony wireless flash system.

Since the a700's popup flash (must be up for Sony wireless to work) blocks the hotshoe, I rigged up a hotshoe-to-PC adapter to the camera's tripod threads via a bolt and a couple of washers.

Me sinto mais ou menos assim diante do emaranhado de fios que surge embaixo da minha mesa.

I brought my laptop to Daniel's swimming lessons yesterday thinking I could tinker with it while I waited or maybe even find some free internet access. Sure enough, 4 wireless networks showed up. Most were secured in some way or another. Except one.

Of course once I was online, my curiosity got the better of me. I had to know if this kind person left the default router password. As usual, they did.

As you can see in the pic, it looks like I wasn't the only one taking advantage of Juanita's ignorance... er... ah... generosity.

Mad props to Juanita and her kind. You made me a very happy person for 45 minutes.
