As we go wireless, did you ever wonder what the effect would be on the birds who used the wires as perches? Well, here you go. Now you know.

I've been off-grid for a week, so have some catching up to do. If you took a picture you want me to see, and think I missed it, feel free to send me a note directing me to it. I'll be trying to catch up in the meantime.

A transistor radio but it was always called the wireless. Found this one covered in dust in the garage.

All these wireless gadgets have meant that I now have a need for more sockets to feed my growing family of wires!

The checkered pattern and red awning certainly catch the eye and make this place stand out from all the other stores in the area. You can't miss it.

When we saw this bear moving down the shoreline, we manoeuvred ahead to get the shot as it crossed the point. We were disappointed when we saw the DNA collection wire. But we were amused by how the bear stepped on it. Here is the image as it should have been without DNA wire

Sometimes referred to as Embassy row, the still leafy Thanon Withayu, or Wireless Road lies at the very heart of the Central Business District, and is called home by embassies and multinational corporations alike.

My wireless headphones gave up the ghost a while back and I finally replaced them. I can do without a lot of things, but I've come to realize that I probably can't do without my wireless phones.

Here are detailed photos of the newly released Disney Cinderella Carriage Bluetooth Speaker, by eKids. My collector friend Blaine Simmonds finally found a link to the product after months of searching, and told me about it. It is sold by the Home Shopping Network (HSN), a US home shopping television channel, which also sells its products online.

I ordered the carriage on Sunday July 26, 2015, and it arrived today (Friday July 31). It costs $69.95, with $6.95 shipping. It is really gorgeous, and looks as though it is gold plated (although it isn't). It has ornate decorations in relief throughout the piece, even on the wheels. To make it stable when sitting on a desk or table, it has tiny rubber feet on the bottom of the wheels. It was disappointing to me, but not surprising that the wheels do not turn. It is 9'' L x 6.5'' H x 4'' W and weighs 10 oz. It has no moving parts (except a switch on the bottom), and it is very sturdy even though it is relatively light. It is made mostly of plastic, with some metal. The front of the coach is a seat for the driver, and the back has a trunk (which doesn't open). The center compartment is a sphere, where the speaker and all the electronics reside. The detailing and paint job are perfectly done. It really looks like a work of art.

It also comes with instruction booklets (in three languages) and a USB cable for power and recharging the built-in lithium ion battery. There is a three position switch with on/off/pairing settings. There is an audio in port and USB micro port. The unit came already powered, but the instructions said to charge it for at least 8 hours before using it.

When I get a chance, I will also post photos of the carriage speaker next to some of my other Cinderella carriage replicas.

For the Wireless Festival.

I bought this Lyra Wireless from Radio Shack in 2004 then they sold RCA products to pipe my PC music into my stereo. I worked well and I used it until I got a portable MP3 player which I hooked directly to my stereo.
