had a whole schwack of siskins descend on my yard last winter....they stayed on through spring and now they have brought in all their young....when they're not gorging at the feeders, they hang out in the cedars and firs but, for some reason, they also love swinging on the wire stringers for my raspberry plants....they sure are fun little things to have around....
I think this campaign was conceived and launched in 1996. I think it did see light of day before the magazine closed in early 1997.
The design is by Nick Philip and the poster, in dayglo green on card, is around 16.5 x 22.5 inches.
I know the magazine was sent some of Philip's Shift t-shirts which featured these Mac-inpsired graphics so I'm guessing it's because of these that he was commissioned to design the posters.
29 wires were cut for the 29 connections that need to be made from the driver to the nixie board. Effort was made to keep them all a similar length.

Tribute to Clodders, who is much braver than me at posting self-portraits, but also loves a barbed wire shot.
I love how this looks like little sharp fingers curled around the wire.
Today was pretty run of the mill. A morning doing housework, while K took les enfants to the library. A soft-play party, then home for more chores.

Rustic wire fence after a nice rainfall with droplets of water hanging on the wire. This is an Elk fence in RMNP.

Wire Art 'Kitty'.. one continuous strand of copper wire. (except for the whiskers :) Glass bead eyes. The card is a darkish tan color... doesn't show up well on my camera.
