Adjunct faculty member Chris Sancomb ’93 SC led an Exquisite Corpse project with
students from his Advanced Metals studio. Based on the French Surrealist game, it
involves people making their own small pieces that are then incorporated into a single, larger sculpture. Chris handed out welding helmets for observers, and was available to answer questions. There was also be a roll of paper for those who wished to participate in a drawn version of the project. The group also test fired an iron cupola that is being assembled for a
Wintersession class.
A polaroid of my completed 3rd Hybrid project for body as sight. I made a Ganesh mask out of copper and glass which was influenced by my Indian art class. I had to rush between a critique on two of my pieces and a presentation for my Indian art class, but after this extremely hectic/stressful day, the majority of my Wintersession is over. I've enjoyed my body as sight class so much, I learned a ton, met a lot of great people, and created a number of projects that I'm really proud of. Now all I have left is to finish my research paper for my Indian art class and it's Wintersession break time yeaaa!
