I was really sick at the beginning of my wintersession, on the couch for at least a week when I wasn't in class. There was a Roseanne marathon on Nickelodeon so I'd DVR the show at night and then watch during the day. Roseanne was one of many programs that I wasn't allowed to watch growing up. My parents thought it would be a negative influence. Over the past five years I've been doing a lot of catching up on a lot of things.

Yes it is cold outside but the light ... yes the light is just beautiful at the moment. And Miss Lulu here was the perfect model on a perfect winters afternoon. Our location was lit up by the sun and appeared in a magical light. Yes it really was everything a dog photographer can wish for

I'm taking a winter session course online - "Popular Culture in the US: 1945 - Present." It's pretty decent so far, especially since we've read Death of a Salesman and The Catcher in the Rye (both of which I read in HS). Now we're moving on to "Radical Chic and Mau-Mauing of the of the Flak Catchers" which is pretty interesting. I don't have the actual book since B&N said it as out of print, but I think I found it on nymag.com (I hope I've been reading the right thing!)
These books are a bit of a departure from what I normally have to read for class (some of which are in the background here) which is kind of refreshing.
