I like walking to the local beach, there is always something going on, this day a few windsurfers had some fun

Windsurfing is a surface water sport using a windsurf board usually two to four meters long and powered by the effect of the wind on a sail. The rig is connected to the board by a free-rotating universal joint and comprises a mast, wishbone boom and sail. The sail area ranges from less than 3.0m2 to more than 12m2 depending on the conditions, the skill of the sailor and the type of windsurfing being undertaken.

Ningú havia vist aquestes fotos fins ara, sobretot els que les varen fer. Fins que jo les he revelat ara.
Aquest rodet en questió només contenia fotos d'algú practicant windsurf en una costa desconeguda però força plana (Holanda?), cap a finals dels 70 o principis dels 80.
S'anomena "found film" a aquelles fotografies en pel•licula o placa que es troben sense revelar dins càmeres velles o per altres racons. La gracia és que ningú ha vist mai aquestes fotografies.
Aquest rodet prové d'un conjunt força gran (70 rodets, la majoria de format 120) que vaig comprar per internet a algú de Rotterdam.
Aquest rodet, de format 120, era del tipus Kodacolor 400, probablement fet servir cap al 1977 - 1985. Es va produir entre 1977 i 1983. El vaig revelar amb el kit C41 de Tetenal, amb el procediment de "bleach bypass".

This roll film only contained picture after picture of someone practicing windsurf in what appears to be a quite flat coastline. It must be arround 1980.
They call "found film" at those images in film or plates that are find undeveloped inside old cameras or in other places, like boxes or old houses.
I found a large pack of medium format roll films in the Internet. I bought them from a seller from Rotterdam (Low Countries).
This one was a 120 format Kodacolor 400 film, in quite good shape. This kind of film was produced from 1977 to 1983, so these pictures were taken probably c.1977-1985. I developed it with a Tetenal C41 kit, with a "bleach bypass".
Very breezy along the south coast this afternoon - great conditions for the windsurfers

Windsurf y Kitesurf, en la Playa de Cortadura de Cádiz.
El kitesurf es un estilo de kiteboarding específico para montar las olas, que utiliza tablas de surf o tablas estándar en forma específicamente para el propósito.
Se trata de un deporte de agua superficial que combina aspectos de wakeboard , snowboard , windsurf , surf , parapente , skate y gimnasia en un deporte extremo . Un kiteboarder aprovecha la potencia del viento con una gran controlable cometa de la energía que será propulsada a través del agua en un kiteboard similar a un wakeboard o una pequeña tabla de surf , con o sin footstraps o fijaciones.
Hay diferentes estilos de kiteboarding, incluyendo freestyle, freeride, downwinders, velocidad, carreras de pista, wakestyle, saltos y kitesurfing en las olas. En 2012 , el número de kitesurf se estimó por la ISAF y IKA en 1,5 millones de personas en todo el mundo (pendientes de revisión).

Windsurf en la Playa de Cortadura de Cádiz.
En Winsurf Freestyle, o estilo libre, Es una modalidad que ha tenido mucha acogida estos últimos años. Hay dos tipos de estilo libre, el “antiguo” u “old school” y el “moderno” o “new school”. El “antiguo” consiste en hacer maniobras en poco viento, con la tabla y la vela.
El “moderno” , se practica con tablas cortas, livianas y anchas y con velas de 4 a 6 metros cuadrados. En el estilo libre moderno se hacen maniobras rápidas al mismo tiempo que uno va saltando, rotando y deslizando. Usualmente, se practica en condiciones de buen viento y superficies planas.
La versión moderna de esta modalidad, la más joven de todas en tener disciplina propia en competición, ha tenido una rápida expansión en los últimos años. Permite hacer trucos espectaculares sin la necesidad de tener olas que surfear o con las que saltar.
