In this revised shot of a Windsurfer at Kernel in Sydney, I have cropped the shot and extended the shot to create a rectangular photo. The subject is no longer squarely in the middle of the frame, and is now about to exit the shot on the left side.

At the same time, I cleaned up the background by removing the power poles, pylon and wires. It goes without saying that I also lifted the colour of the sky to create what I think is a better shot.

This original shot of a Windsurfer at Kernel in Sydney was taken with my 4 MP Canon Powershot G3 camera back in 2005. At the time I had no problem with the near square format; I was also content to have every subject at the centre of the frame.
