I suppose that a outdoor window washing qualifies as a significant
event to a cat. We use a simple mixture for washing our windows. It
certainly saves on cost of glass cleaner and perhaps even does a
better job.
- 1 part ammonia
- 1 part vinegar
- several parts water
Horizontal windows in a row house across the street from the Back Bay Fens contrast with the vertical windows in a nearby apartment building. (The apparent "jaggedness" of the vertical windows is simply sheets of green plastic irregularly affixed to the building.)
This was taken through the a window in the Liverpool Tate. Its pretty much SOOC apart from a small crop
York Minster, South Transept. The outer petals of the Rose Window are red and white roses (the houses of York and Lancaster) and the work of 16th century Flemish glass-painters. The glass in the centre dates from the 18th century and is in the form of a sunflower from which golden rays radiate from a circle of blue tinted glass. I first took this pic four years ago on my 40d with the 100mm lens. With the 5d mk iii at 300mm the angle, detail and colour rendition is way better and I'm pretty pleased with this one
For Window Wednesday, the windows of the observation tower at 'The Mo', Sheringham North Norfolk.
Why 'The Mo' you ask. Originally a house called The Mo, named after Morag the daughter of Sir Thomas Digby Piggott. Acquired by the military in 1940 for troops to practice house to house fighting. Badly damaged, it was demolished in 1946.
Became an open air bandstand and playground.
1996 acquired by Anglian Water for a multi million pound sewerage scheme. In return they built an amenity building on top of a massive storm and overflow tank.
The building houses the Sheringham Museum.

The Windows at Arches National Park - here is different angle than most shots taken of this great structure. A stitch of several shots to get the panoramic view, I liked this shot that shows the arches and then the landscape that is to the southeast of the Windows' area. This shot also shows the ledge that you must climb in order to get the classic shot of Turret Arch through the North Window.
