It's not hard to know what you're thinking

When you look down on me now

Your trance of love is seeking

To turn this world around

But in my state of blind confusion

No God can pull me out

I see your love is willing

To turn me inside out

And then I see you there

The lonely tears I cry

I wish they'd release me

It's in despair that I find faith

Summon the night to bow down to day

When ignorance is bliss

Save me from myself

And then I see You there

With Your arms open wide and You try to embrace me

These lonely tears I cry

They keep me in chains and I wish they'd release me

Cold is the night but

Colder still is the heart made of stone, turned from clay

And if you follow me

You'll see all the black, all the white fade to grey

Fade to grey

Fade to grey

This picture is for the group Happy Caturday and this week the theme is "In the Light".

I know, it's been a few weeks since I've posted a picture of Noah... he keeps running from the paparazzi! :)

Elijah on the other hand is more than willing to pose next to one of his new pumpkins in the sunlight. It even has "Salem" on it. :)

Next week I will be starting a new round of chemo. I can no longer get the immunotherapy treatments since it caused my breathing to be so labored. I'm not sure if I will be able to post new photos in the next several weeks. I was told that one treatment will be like getting three treatments all at once. I am hoping that since I did so good with the last round of chemo that I will not have any problems with these next two.

On the lighter side... I have been so happy with my 2 1/2 inches of hair... and now it's more than likely going to fall back out. 😬 I wonder if I can find one of those knitted hats with the long tail like I used to have as a kid in the 70's?! That should keep me warm with this cooler weather coming. ;)

Have willingness, determination, focus and its goal will be realized successfully. 👌

I have become fond of this tiretoy present that came to me in the Christmas mix of things from someone. I know, I'm as surprised as anyone. But I've played with it inside the house and outside the house now, and even convinced Dad to pack it for our walk this morning.

He says when it gets winter cold, it will become hard as a hockey puck, and should be kept inside. But he says this is just a phase I'm going through, anyway. I think he's right. I think he's right out of his mind!

This tiretoy is orange like my favorite outside ball, round like a ball, in a way, and it can roll like a ball, too, so it's already halfway to being a ball without even being played with! I'm willing to give it the benefit of the doubt. Now I have to make tracks with my new tiretoy!

A smallish hawker dragonfly that can be seen flying well into the Autumn. Breeds in gravel pits, lakes, reservoirs, canals and will even tolerate brackish water but will avoid acidic water. Males can sometimes be seen flying low over the water in numbers along marginal vegetation in search of females. Before the 1940's this dragonfly was a migrant visitor to the UK but is now classified as a British species hence the name Migrant Hawker. When dragonflies mate the male will grasp the female by her front end of her thorax (pronotum) if she is willing which is called the 'mating wheel' and will then fly off together over the water with the female laying her eggs just below the surface with the male clasping her by the neck, who said romance was dead, lol.

Me & My Friend Pete Sunny. I Learn so much from you and its always so much fun playing and making our ideas work. Beyond thankful to have such wonderful friends. ★~(◠‿◕✿)

I had met this gentleman before. I believe that his memory is compromised. When there is noise on High Street (there was thunderclap and then hail) he steps out and looks. If addressed, he is quite willing to talk. He also allowed me to do his portrait. He is a friendly man. And curious. Fuji X-E2 plus Mitakon Speedmaster at F0.95.

This single frond of a Swordfern seemed to be beckon me to come closer. I was willing to comply, especially once I had my camera in hand.

I'm willing to bet that this is the only photo of this place on the entire internet, because it's an absolute bitch to get to (it's also technically on private land, but we have arrangement). I'm running out of little waterfalls now that are within walking distance of my house (I only know of 2 other ones that I haven't already posted pictures of), however this one won't be repeated anytime soon because of the difficulty of getting there. However if we get another storm or a lot of rain in a short space of time again, this is the first place I'm going to go to!

"Still, what I want in my life is to be willing to be dazzled,

to cast aside the weight of facts

and maybe even to float a little above this difficult world.

I want to believe I am looking

into the white fire of a great mystery.

I want to believe that the imperfections are nothing

— that the light is everything…"

Yesterday our Golden Retriever, Cooper, celebrated nine glorious years upon this planet. His muzzle might show a bit of grey fur, but his joy in chasing a ball is still ever present. I've never known a dog that is so mellow with children and is always willing to wag his tail if someone makes eye contact.

I'm a firm believer that we should never stop learning & always strive to improve ourselves. Life is so precious & should be celebrated every time we awake each morning! I thank God for my many blessings, family & friends. Thank you all for reaching out this morning with the lovely birthday wishes and gifts. Missy Fenwitch, I would like to acknowledge for the beautiful 'Happy Birthday' backdrop with poses!! This was so cute!! 💞

For weeks now folks have been telling me they've been seeing Indigo Buntings in their yard - even at their feeders! Just as I was about to give up any hope of seeing one this year, one of my sisters, who was visiting for a family birthday, happened to look out at our backyard and calmly commented, "There's a blue bird out there."

Thinking she meant an Eastern Bluebird, which we have, I went to confirm her sighting and nearly passed out when I saw an INDIGO BUNTING! Eating grass seed in an area of the yard which hadn't been mowed!

Then chaos erupted as everyone ran for their cameras and jostled for space at the window. We were too afraid to open it for fear of scaring it off, and therefor willing to settle for photos taken through the window.

You're willing to sacrifice our love

You never take advice

Someday you'll pay the price, I know

I've seen it before, it happens all the time

You're closing the door, you leave the world behind

You're digging for gold, you're throwing away

A fortune in feelings, but someday you'll pay

You're as cold as ice

You're willing to sacrifice our love

You want paradise

But someday you'll pay the price, I know

Love tulips? The perky flowers — closely associated with the Netherlands — come into bloom in London in mid-April, often lasting into May. While you won't find sprawling tulip fields here in the capital, there are still plenty of parks and gardens, from palaces to Royal Parks, where you can get your fill of tulip-mania. And if you're willing to travel a little beyond London? Even better! Here's your guide on where and when to see tulips

LOL.... one of them anyway! But since this snail was so willing to pose for me, I guess it's forgiven. ;)

I received this lens late yesterday afternoon. It's going to be a keeper. I got a super terrific deal on Ebay for a lens that looks brand new and about 75% less that other sellers top price. A fabulous deal. I was lucky to get it on the auction for about one half of what I was willing to spend.

These two shots I have posted were hand held and still very sharp.

Was really willing it to warm up yesterday morning in St Fillans it was a raw May Day - thankfully it is a beautifully warm day today. You just can't beat the drama of a cold windy day though. Every cloud has a silver lining.

I had the fortune of doing some portrait photography this weekend.

There were a few decent workable solutions from the shoot and will be taking the time to get more completed as the week progresses.

Many thanks to Anthony for organizing and to our model for being such a willing participant.

This is the first ladybug I saw this year. Seeing so many wonderful ladybug images here on Flickr I wanted to take one myself. And it wasn't easy. This lady just wouldn't cooperate. She wouldn't stay still not even for one split second. I wonder how you guys get them to cooperate...

How kind of this early morning walker to provide an interest point for my image.

We smiled as we passed each other on the empty beach, perhaps a special camaraderie amongst the only two people willing to get up early and brave the cold for the solitude and beauty of the early morning, or perhaps we were wincing against the cold.

Today was the day . . . My gorgeous Moany was very spirited this morning and definitely wanted *out* of his enclosure . . . I had hoped to save his *release* for my daughter and granddaughters, but their long car trip from Michigan would take up most of the day. I just couldn't hold onto him . . . he had heard about all of Angela's gorgeous females down on Long Island, and he was raring to go visit! Perhaps he will be instrumental in sending some offspring on the amazing journey to Mexico!

Ironically, I thought he would stay around our gardens, especially alighting on the new butterfly bush we had bought just for him, but he bypassed it (after he left this plant upon which I gently set him down) and immediately flew over our house, high in the sky, on his way to Long Island. I HOPE he didn't get caught in the rain they were having. It was only cloudy here.

Exactly one month ago I found Moany on the underside of a milkweed plant and brought him inside to begin the caterpillar nurturing process, a first for me! Please check out my Monarch album for Moany's incredible journey.

Watching Moany's phenomenal transformation was definitely life changing for me.

A famous Canadian photographer named Freeman Patterson once quipped that good photography was not a matter of the

distance you were willing to travel. Rather, it was about seeing what was around you. In his book he mentions that the majority of his work was taken less than a kilometer from his house.

“Seeing, in the finest and broadest sense, means using your senses, your intellect, and your emotions. It means encountering your subject matter with your whole being. It means looking beyond the labels of things and discovering the remarkable world around you.”

Oh dear. I suddenly discovered it's the flower show tomorrow. I thought it wasn't for a week or two. Well, I'm not well enough but my kind husband Tom is willing to take things along so I do hope to show some. But I won't be able to respond to your comments until after the weekend.

Whilst grateful for single invites PLEASE, I really DO NOT want multiple ones. PLEASE no graphics, spinning or flashing comments. They stress my eyes.

But Paul is possessed of a humility, an honesty, and gentleness that serve him well in the face of what might make others vain or arrogant. I believe the source of Paul's humility and gentleness is his spirituality, which is grounded in a willingness to reflect deeply on theodicy-that is, to consider the reality of how evil is active in the world and to dare ask the painful question of how and why a good God allows the suffering of innocent people. Paul is equally willing to consider and challenging questions about the role we humans play in both causing and alleviating suffering.

I named this little toy sheep Tansy after a real Tansy. Now I've posted this photo in hopes you can see that this is a sheep.

Tansy is a sheep who belongs to my flickr friend April, who has several beautiful sheep and other animals on her farm. Well, I just found out that Tansy is getting old and she is now blind. She needs to be guided around. A lot of adjustment of the yard layout is needed, and is taking place now, Tansy's willingness to learn to find her way will be just as important.

This photo is my way to send good wishes to beautiful, gentle, smiling Tansy and to April and her farm. I mean, let us send good wishes from the heart, that is all and that is everything.

Tansy

I saw the toy sheep at a recent garage sale of a friend, who rescued a special needs little dog, some years ago. I picked this toy out, though at the time I didn't know about Tansy's declining vision. I was drawn to this raggedy little toy sheep the minute I saw her. Her eyes happen to be black embroidery and very small so they are almost invisible, but I didn't even notice until later. when I found out about Tansy So the toy is all the more special because it carries promise.. When I tried to pay for it, my friend insisted I keep it as a gift. Stories like this ... real life stories .... I like to share because they matter.
