I had been shut out for 5 nights in a row on this trip and was willing to shoot anything at this point. As I was running around to the different viewpoints on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon looking for some open sky, I rounded the corner along the drive and hit the brakes for a quickie. :) I set up one light panel quickly and snapped 3 shots then jumped back in and off I went. I used a cooler white balance than usual on this one at around 3200. :)
If you have any questions about this photo or about photography in general, I will do my best to help, just post a comment or send me a Flickr mail and I will respond as quickly as possible.
Thanks for taking the time to take a look at my photos, and as always, your views, comments, faves, and support are greatly appreciated!! Have a great weekend everybody!! :)

FAMILIAR black, grey and white bird. The Pied Wagtail has a bounding flight and distinctive habit of pumping its tail up and down. They love locations such as playing fields and supermarket car parks, where this one was captured, but I was willing it to go into a little grass area to get a better image.

THANK YOU for being a friend, please leave a comment and I will look forward to returning the visit.
We have the road map out of lockdown, just hope the nature reserves and hides will soon open.
Stay safe and well, God bless..........................Tomx.

JESUS LOVES YOU and died for you, let him into your life today as your savior!
On Good Friday we remember the day Jesus willingly suffered and died by crucifixion as the ultimate sacrifice for our sins (1 John 1:10). It is followed by Easter, the glorious celebration of the day Jesus was raised from the dead

~True friendship cannot be forged overnight. It has to be tested by time over and over again. Thank you for being my true friend and my only soulmate!
It’s hard to meet people in life who are willing to give everything without the hope of any return. I call myself lucky because I have someone like that in my life. It’s you!
You have always been there in my hard times and my heartbreaks. I thank god everyday for blessing me with such a true friend like you my sweet Beth♥~
Actually, I think this lil feline is happy about the spilled ice cream. I’m certainly not going to be eating it now, so he has it all to himself. Clever kitty! I was trying to create a **page from a vintage story book** vibe in this capture. Willing my lackluster creativity back, and “trying” being the operative word! All of my brilliantly artistic friends here in Flickr land, every single one of you inspire me. 😊💕
I’ll anticipate the French fries (with tons of salt!) that I can sense lie ahead at the seaside fish and chips shop while kitty savors his ice cream cone...🐈🍦🍟
It’s always a delight to spot a Burrowing Owl, especially one willing to pose for a portrait 😎
Have a Great Weekend, Flickr Friends !!
Burrowing Owls are small, sandy colored owls with bright-yellow eyes. They live underground in burrows they’ve dug themselves or taken over from a prairie dog, ground squirrel, or tortoise.
They live in grasslands, deserts, and other open habitats, where they hunt mainly insects and rodents. Their numbers have declined sharply with human alteration of their habitat and the decline of prairie dogs and ground squirrels.
Before laying eggs, Burrowing Owls carpet the entrances to their homes with animal dung, which attracts dung beetles and other insects that the owls then catch and eat. They may also collect bottle caps, metal foil, cigarette butts, paper scraps, and other bits of trash at the entrance, possibly signifying that the burrow is occupied.
The oldest known Burrowing Owl was at least 9 years, 11 months old when it was sighted in California in 2014.

The Cedar Waxwing was calling from this single open branch. Often feeding in trees with fruit or blossoms, this one took an open spot and allowed me to grab a few shots.

One of the prettiest mountain drives awaits you if you travel the SR479 to Sulmona, panoramic scenes and small untouristed villages wait patiently to be discovered by those willing to brave the roads to see them, depicted here is one my favorites along the way Scanno. Scanno is known as the village of photographers with the likes of Hilde Lotz-Bauer, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Mario Giacomelli, Renzo Tortelli, Gianni Berengo Gardin, Ferdinando Scianna, Mario Cresci all having taken famous shots here. While my shots may not be famous I famously enjoyed taking them and would highly recommend a stop here as well as in neighboring Villalago if you still have any storage space after Scanno.
I took this on Oct 11, 2012 with my D70s and Tamron 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 Lens at 72mm, 1/320s, f5.6 ISO 200 processed in LR, PS +Lumenzia ,Topaz, and DXO Nik

Once there was a man with good intentions
And some people at home he forgot to mention
She was looking for a friend and he was willing to listen
Once there was a man with good intentions
And nobody has to know
It's all right, it's all right to let go
And nobody has to see
What's between you and me
Is you and me
(Is you and me)
Once there was a girl who thought she needed to be saved
By a white knight on a white horse in a white cape
Maybe he's taken but you'll take him anyway
Once there was a girl who thought shе needed to be saved
And nobody has to know
It's all right, it's all right to lеt go
And nobody has to see
What's between you and me
Is you and me
(Is you and me)
I don't wanna change your mind
But I don't wanna go home tonight
Tell me no or I'm coming over

Have an amazing weekend guys! :) Just uploaded this for the sake of uploading, weird mood swings.. =/
This song makes me cry, everything I listen to it, its that good! :)
Lifehouse kicks a**! :D
T'was the night before Christmas
he lived all alone
In a one bedroom house made of plaster and stone
I had come down the chimney with
presents to give
and to see just who in this dweling did
live
I looked all around a strange site to
see
No tinsel, no presents, not even a
tree
No stockings on the mantle just boots filled
with sand
On the wall hung pictures of far
distant lands
Medals and Badges, Awards every
kind
A sobering thought came alive in my
mind
This house was different, it was
dark, it was deary
I had found the home of a
soldier
I could see that most clearly
The soldier lie sleeping, silent, alone
Curled up on the floor in this one
bedroom home
His face was so gentle, the room in
such disorder
Not at all how I pictured a
United States Soldier
Was this the hero of whom I'd just read
Curled up on a poncho, the floor for
a bed
Then I realized the other families
that I saw on this night
Hold their lives to soldiers, who are
willing to fight
In the morning around the
world, the children would play
Grown-ups would celebrate a bright
Christmas Day
But they all enjoy freedom each
month of the year
Because of soldiers like the one lying
here
I couldn't help but wonder, how many
lay alone?
On a cold Christmas Eve in lands far
from home
The very thought brought a tear to my
eye
I dropped to my knees and I
started to cry
The soldier awakened, I heard his
ruff voice
Santa don't cry, this life is my
choice...
...I fight for freedom, I don't ask for
more...
...My life is my God, my country, my
core
The soldier rolled over and drifted to
sleep
But I couldn't control it and I
continued to weep
I kept watch for hours... so silent and
still
as both of us shivered from the cold
nights chill
I didn't want to leave him on that cold
dark night
This guardian of honor, so willing to
fight
then the soldier rolled over with a
voice soft and pure
He whispered Carry on Santa, it's
Christmas Day...
...all secure One look at my watch
and I knew he was right
Merry Christmas my friend, may God
Bless you this night

Because this Blue Tiger Butterfly stayed on the Cornflower for a long time, I had the opportunity to look for various background colours. The purple halo comes from a Brunfelsia flower.
Sunrise at Sanur Beach, Bali. If I could ask for a tip from anyone willing to share - the sun over the boat is massively over exposed and I'm unsure of how to address this issue. The photo was already taken at a pretty high shutter speed 1/2000. Is this just a limitation of my phone? Or perhaps I need a filter of some kind? I tried my best to do something in post but couldn't hit a sweet spot. Any feedback is greatly appreciated, thank you.
Flowing with a passion after days of heavy rain. Quite often choked with debris, it seems to have had a clean out of late. Very happy to have some weather sealed gear for this - we got wet and then some. Thanks Michael for being willing to get a soaking for a shot.

Prothonotary Warbler ~ (Protonotaria citrea)
Water levels are very high along the Hillsborough River in my area and my local park is partly underwater. Finding willing subjects has been a bit challenging! I did find this Prothonotary Warbler near the trail that almost seemed to be showing off its catch to me
Thanks for visiting!
All it really takes is an open mind, and being willing to use it ♥♥

It's not hard to know what you're thinking
When you look down on me now
Your trance of love is seeking
To turn this world around
But in my state of blind confusion
No God can pull me out
I see your love is willing
To turn me inside out
And then I see you there
The lonely tears I cry
I wish they'd release me
It's in despair that I find faith
Summon the night to bow down to day
When ignorance is bliss
Save me from myself
And then I see You there
With Your arms open wide and You try to embrace me
These lonely tears I cry
They keep me in chains and I wish they'd release me
Cold is the night but
Colder still is the heart made of stone, turned from clay
And if you follow me
You'll see all the black, all the white fade to grey
Fade to grey
Fade to grey
My sister made this cork board for me. It is enclosed in an old picture frame and looks beautiful. I obviously was more than willing to help with contributing the corks from drinking wine.
I had met this gentleman before. I believe that his memory is compromised. When there is noise on High Street (there was thunderclap and then hail) he steps out and looks. If addressed, he is quite willing to talk. He also allowed me to do his portrait. He is a friendly man. And curious. Fuji X-E2 plus Mitakon Speedmaster at F0.95.
Today the Cities favorite Piebald Deer was in a very good mood and willing to participate in an extended photo shoot. He is quite handsome and nicknamed Pie.
I'm willing to put in the hours, very reliable, good at making coffee, and love taking good care of the Boss. When can i start?
I'm willing to bet that this is the only photo of this place on the entire internet, because it's an absolute bitch to get to (it's also technically on private land, but we have arrangement). I'm running out of little waterfalls now that are within walking distance of my house (I only know of 2 other ones that I haven't already posted pictures of), however this one won't be repeated anytime soon because of the difficulty of getting there. However if we get another storm or a lot of rain in a short space of time again, this is the first place I'm going to go to!
Tofu is generally a very cooperative cat but his willingness to cooperate ends as soon as I need to get hold of him for whatever reason and he knows it. In such moments he tends to disappear deep in the greenery of the garden which forces me to crawl under shrubs and through the mud to reach him while Tofu just sits there and watches me. As soon as I'm close enough to catch him Tofu will (of course) dart past me and find another hideout. That kind of "game" can go on for quite a while, it's very funny for Tofu and rather exasperating for me. :)
Posted for the happy Caturday theme "Exasperating".
This Great Egret was willing to pose while I observed and photographed it perched in the pile of driftwood that has become lodged in the middle of Horsepen Bayou. I finally backed away and allowed him to enjoy his peace and quiet.
I might add that this is not the norm and that most of these large birds depart when you approach them. It was a bit unusual for this one to stick around.

Sitting regally on a glacial erratic of pink granite, the ground squirrel looked so good that I had to stop for a shot. Nice soft light. To spend any time photographing them is to invite all kinds of scorn from some of the locals, who can see no reason whatsoever for taking a picture of their nemesis rodent. The "gopher" that digs holes in their pastures and dams. To summarize, "They're not real popular around here."
So it goes. We humans tend to vilify any wildlife species that finds itself in direct competition with us. I knew an old woman who would swerve on the local roads to intentionally run over ground squirrels, while doing the same to avoid hitting rattlesnakes.
But without Richardson's Ground Squirrels, we wouldn't have any Ferruginous Hawks; their diet is comprised almost exclusively of these rodents. They feed a lot of coyotes, badgers, owls, eagles, weasels, foxes, and other predators, too. A keystone species, you might say.
I feel no need to explain myself to the incredulous or to those merely lacking imagination. I'm interested in anything with fur, feathers, or scales. Admittedly, these guys aren't very high on my want list, because they are so common and relatively easy to photograph. Nevertheless, if it is willing to pose for me so nicely, I'll take the shot!

I wasn't willing to leave my seat and get into the water. Somehow oppa made it possible, to make me stand while pulling me his flip flops also took the flight hahaha.
Funny craziness happens when we start "fighting"

Sharing? Not willingly- this ferruginous hawk (Buteo regalis) cautiously guards a prairie dog carcass that it had already temporarily lost to a bald eagle who chased it from its meal. However the bald eagle flew off when a car stopped to admire it, and for a brief time 3 magpies enjoyed the prairie dog tartare. The magpies (Pica hudsonia) were again supplanted by the ferruginous hawk, which eventually took its meal to a nearby cottonwood for a bit more solitude.
