This was the second mug rug I sent to my partner. She had a very specific "if you could work in OZ or the ruby slippers, that'd be cool" request. So I did what I could. At the beginning of each day, you get to smash the witch with your mug & send Dorothy on her journey. good times.

During the 1970 model year, Chrysler produced two sport coupes on its E-body platform, the restyled Plymouth Barracuda and all-new Dodge Challenger. Optioning and powertrain choices could turn either into a very specific car. Just in the case of the Challenger, for instance, there was a base model, a sizably more powerful R/T and, in 1970 only, the Challenger T/A with a performance 340 V-8. Then there's this, the Special Edition, which was officially a one-year-only Challenger option. When integrated into the R/T package, with a big-block wedge, you've got yourself an uncommon muscle car. Only 3,979 SE-optioned R/T hardtops were built.

In Mopar linguistics, this is known as a Challenger R/T SE. When you look into the combination closely, it's actually quite intriguing. The SE package is a styling and convenience group. It's based around a vinyl roof incorporating a smaller rear window opening with external bright moldings, as designed by Dodge stylist Mack King. The vinyl roof is recognizable by the wide seam that is unique to 1970 and 1971 Challengers. On the C-pillars is the three-pointed Dodge "fratzog" emblem. And inside, the Special Edition cars received script declaring them as such on their woodgrain door inserts. The bottoms of the interior door panels were carpeted. Vinyl, or leather-trimmed vinyl up front, was used for the seating surfaces, with cloth inserts. More memorable than that, one could say, is the scaled-down overhead console that was another part of the SE package, with warning lights for low fuel, door ajar and unfastened seat belts.

Not the same car but the information above was found on Hemmings website below:

Overall, a beautiful, special car worthy of special photography & attention!

Plot Summary of The Wizard of Oz

When a nasty neighbor tries to have her dog put to sleep, Dorothy takes her dog Toto, to run away. A cyclone appears and carries her to the magical land of Oz. Wishing to return, she begins to travel to the Emerald City where a great wizard lives. On her way she meets a Scarecrow who needs a brain, a Tin Man who wants a heart, and a Cowardly Lion who desperately needs courage. They all hope the Wizard of Oz will help them, before the Wicked Witch of the West catches up with them.

Did you see the Wicked Witch of the West in the picture? (No need to add notes, though. Just say if you see it. Thanks.)

A masterpiece that I loved, sold a couple months ago. Very moody!

A strong low pressure system setup over the weekend in eastern Canada. Don't really understand the dynamics, but the result was an enormous wind field stretching out for hundreds of miles. By Sunday morning the village was being battered with gusts over 60 mph. I grabbed the camera and headed out on foot. My hope was to capture some photos but the journey was more about experiencing the storm first-hand. There was no snow or rain, just wind, and lots of it. Gusts at times that felt strong enough to knock me down, and sustained winds that created an unholy roar as they passed through a nearby treeline. Power lines swayed and bounced to the extent that I kept well clear of them. Trees swayed back and forth at angles that I was sure would have broken them in half. Amazing flexibility in trees (although I later discovered many had fallen or been completely uprooted). At times I found myself breathless as the wind seemed to force the air back into my lungs and wouldn't allow me to exhale. Walking through the cemetery resulted in a sensory overload with hundreds of graveside decorations rattling and waving back and forth, all competing for my attention. Many times my mind interpreted this motion as people walking about in the distance. I would stop and stare in that direction, absolutely certain that someone was lurking there, but each time found that I was totally alone. This was distracting and frankly unsettling, and continued as long as I remained. I really wanted to capture a visual sense for the day. I settled down beneath an evergreen tree (from which large branches had already fallen) and awaited an intense wind gust. It was not a long wait. I shot blindly in continuous shutter mode as the wind whipped up. This image really captures how it felt to be standing there at that moment. I eventually returned to the safety of my home, but the wind continued to whip all afternoon and through the night. I kept thinking back on the cemetery visit as I lay in bed that night, the wind howling outside my windows.

Does any one know if the Cha Cha sculpt was used on any other dolls than the ones pictured?

I'm looking for one that isn't as tan as the Cha Cha doll.

Either way, she needs to be put into the rotation. A Barbie Look doll of her would kill!

Ghosts can dance better than humans, it's the lower body mass.

This scene put me in mind of Edgar Allan Poe and the wicked witch from the Wizard of Oz, plus several other horror genres all rolled into one. I loved reading Poe, reveled in his darkness. And the Wizard of Oz fascinated me on several levels. That pointed hat worn by the witch is now iconic. It's formed the basis of a lifelong association with having the hell scared out of me as a child. I read recently that Margaret Hamilton's total screen time in the move was cut back to just 12 minutes. I would have sworn it was more than that. Turns out several scenes were cut because they made little children cry. Yeah, I was one of them and that's from the scenes they left in. Difficult to imagine that most of my photographic work is somehow tied to just 12 minutes of witch screen time. Like I said, it left a lifelong mark on me!

[ZELENA]

Finally the moment I was hoping would come

The moment he would realize he chose the wrong one

There isn't any curse I could cast to match this feeling

The pain I knew when Rumple turned his back on my heart

At last will be Regina's when her life falls apart

Suddenly the future's looking more appealing

Once I was filled with rage

Now I enjoy the ride

It's so electrifying

Watching all her dreams denied

Oh I will fly into tomorrow

My sister full of sorrow

Finally paying for her sins

I'll smile all the while she is crying

Inside she's slowly dying

Learning wicked always wins

Oh evil may be powerful

But wicked always wins

If mom could see me now she would ache with regret

Cause she'd witness all the glory wickedness gets

She went and made Regina queen and my blood boil

But that's all history

Time they all understood

What they call "green with envy"

I just call "looking good"

Oh I will fly into tomorrow

My sister full of sorrow

Finally paying for her sins

This strife, her life was so enchanted

She took it all for granted

Now she'll dream of could have beens

Oh evil may be powerful

But wicked always

[ZELENA, spoken]

Wait, why just revel in her demise?

When I can use it to my advantage

[ZELENA]

I'll give her a magic gift to bring The Charmings down

When Regina stands victorious

I'll swoop right into town

When he learns the spell was mine

Oh Rumple he will see

He should have chosen me

So I will fly into tomorrow

Delighting in her sorrow

As a better day begins

This time nobody's gonna stop me

No evil's gonna top me

Oh wicked always wins

A happy ending will be mine

Cause wicked always wins

This is my second tribute (here's the first) to one of my all-time favorite TV series - "Once Upon a Time", a story about a modern city where everyone actually is a fairytale character, with a lot of twists, cliffhangers, magic and drama. I hope to build eventually all of my favorite characters from OUAT as the minifigures, but this project will take much time so stay tuned.

SPOILER ALERT!

This is a tribute to Zelena, the Wicked Witch of the West (also known as Kelly West in Storybrooke). When I watched seasons 1-4 back in 2014, for a long time I disliked her - she was trying to kill my other favorite characters, and I don't mean just Emma (every villain is after the Savior, after all), no, I was extremely pissed off because she made Rumplestiltskin her pawn (poor Belle! poor Neal!), and she was trying to destroy the happiness of her sister Regina/the Evil Queen. But in later seasons, which I finally watched this year, Zelena become more sympathetic and complicated character, and as long as she started to be good to Regina, I immediately started rooting for her to become the next redeemed villainess. I was so happy when they finally become the real sisters to each other and also made peace with their mother (who was another villainess), it was an wholesome moment, one of the highlights of the season.

Also when she was evil I was creeped out by her attempts to seduce Robin Hood, and hated her when she finally succeded, and I was not a fan of this plot of "Wicked Witch wants a baby", so initially I disliked the baby as well, but then it turned out other evil forces are coming for that baby, and good characters were still mad at Zelena for what she did, so I was worried for them. Luckily, the later seasons included some time-lapse, so the next time we'll see baby Robin she's a late teenager, and she's cool! Totally not a wasted character! :)

For the character tributes I decided to pick a few (best) songs from the episode, where in the past the wish upon a star accidentally made everyone in the Enchanted forest to sing (and it was both hilarious and epic). Zelena's song is something really worth to listen - she sings about watching the sufferings of her sister, but she sings it SO HAPILLY, like it's a Broadway-type song of wanting to go at the prom or something like that. xD Also she scared the hell out of Munchkins during this one (without even interrupting her happy singing!), and it was HILARIOUS!

Also, for context, she meant that Rumplestiltskin was going to teach her as his best apprentice, but he chose Regina instead (despite the fact that Zelena is actually more powerful), and her mother also made Regina, the younger daughter, the heir, and not an abandoned older daughter Zelena. No wonder poor Zelena was feeling so alone the whole life and taking such great length to be loved... But as I said, it turned out well in the end, she was finally happy with her sister and her daughter Robin. :)

I hope you'll like my small Emerald City on the horizon, I'm really proud of this one. ;)

I'll get you my pretty, and your little dog, too!

The Wicked Witch of the West was the first A-100 Audio-Animatronics figure in the Disney parks, making it's debut as part of The Great Movie Ride at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The A-100 has technology that gives the figures more fluid and realistic movements, making it the most life-like figure in the attraction.

I'm glad they did such a good job on the Wizard of Oz part of the attraction. It's my favorite movie of all time!

New York City 2011 Halloween Parade. Beautiful costumes of The Wizard of Oz mostly. Everyone loved how beautiful their costumes were. I couldn't stop taking pictures of them.

Mattel's great sculpt, given a re-root and transplanted onto one of those later, super-poseable Takara CoolGirl/CyGirl bodies - no repaint necessary as her costume completely covers the flesh-toned body... apart from the hands so I used a pair from the CoolGirl Catwoman.

ToTo I don't think we're in Kansas anymore.

One question haunts and hurts

Too much, too much to mention:

Was I really seeking good

Or just seeking attention?

Is that all good deeds are

When looked at with an ice-cold eye?

If that's all good deeds are

Maybe that's the reason why...

No good deed goes unpunished

All helpful urges should be circumvented

No good deed goes unpunished

Sure, I meant well

Well, look at what well-meant did...

All right, enough

So be it, so be it then

Let all Oz be agreed

I'm wicked through and through

Since I can not succeed

Fiyero, saving you

I promise no good deed

Will I attempt to do again

Ever again

No good deed will I do again!

This is my third tribute to my favorite Broadway musical "Wicked". This is the scene where Elphaba tried to save Fiyero but she has no idea whether her attempt was successful or not, so she breaks down and finally becomes the Wicked Witch of the West...

I tried to experiment with colored smoke, but since I had only one smoke torch and it was my first time, I had to do it very quickly. Not exactly the result that I wanted (there was an additional lighting below, but it can't be seen because of the flash, so I removed it), but at least it looks beautiful. By the way, the smoke colored the wall a bit despite the package saying "does not stain clothes", so I had to clean it very hard.

You can listen to the full song from the musical here:
