Looking a little bit tacky here but this Robin is over two years old now which is a good age for a Robin. Always hanging around in the same area in one of my nature reserves I often go to visit. Ever since I first spotted this as a juvenile there has always been a dark patch below the right eye that is still there to this day. My little friend here has become very tame and always so very photogenic and hopefully will be around a bit longer yet. In the 1400's when the Robin was named the colour orange had not been classified and this is why we say that the Robin has a red breast and not orange. America has an eagle so it's about time the UK had the Robin as its national bird !!!!!!

I think Rudbeckias are lovely flowers, but I found myself asking this, "Do they always have to be yellow? Why not change the colours?" Why not?!

Another misty morning woodland shoot. This particular tree with its Y shape caught my attention, primarily because it seemed to be mirrored by another tree just beyond it.
This here is the only offical path at Porta da Piedade to get down to the water. There are a view very adventurous declines elsewhere along the cliff. For this time I wasn't brave enough to try one of them.
I found that place when I already was on my way back to the car. Because when I arrived in the dark, I didn't know where to go an decides spontaniously for the complete opposite direction. I was almost a little bit annoyed, that I didn't start here. Why, You will see tomorrow.
Dies ist der einzige offizielle Weg am Ponta da Piedade um nach unten ans Wasser zu kommen. Es gibt noch ein paar wenige sehr abenteuerliche Abstiege an anderen Stellen. An diese habe ich mich diesesmal jedoch nicht heran getraut.
Ich habe diese Stelle entdeckt, als ich schon auf dem Rückweg zum Auto war. Denn als ich hier im Dunkeln ankam wusste ich nicht, wo ich hin muss und so habe ich mich spontan für die komplett entgegengesetzte Richtung entschieden. Ich hab mich fast ein wenig geärgert, dass ich nicht hier begonnen habe. Warum, das seht Ihr morgen.

Just a typical scene from the garden. I'm sure Sethi occasionally wishes it would rain again as in that case Tofu would stay in the house. Tofu has the annoying habit of following Sethi around when they are both outdoors and Sethi doesn't really like that. Although Sethi feels stalked he usually is surprisingly patient and polite with Tofu ....
